You know, acting like a total bitch doesn't really matter does it?

If your definition of "acting like a total bitch" is creating a logical, well thought out argument and articulating it then yes I am guilty as charged.

Take a guess as to what your logical fallacy is?

Speak english please.. I don't speak bitchanese.

Imo, the game becomes awesome, once you learn few things, get higher level, start using linked gems. But, there are many problems for new players:

- Trading system. Some say, it's awesome, some say it's unnecessarily complicated. One thing for sure, it's an absolute nightmare for new players. They have no idea, how much items are worth or what is even currency in game. And it's so easy to get scammed by experienced players.

- Missleading skill tree, where you should take mostly defensive nodes, but how can new player guess that? He will usually go for damage and meet brick wall on higher level.

- Griefing, for example high level joins to your group and "whirling blades" straight to the boss to steal him from you. - this is more common than you would think

- Group fighting aka "can't see a crap, ninja stole my rare"

According to the local moderator in this thread this argument is infallible, in addition to being acceptable behavior!
I don't think it's wearing off for me. I love this game and it's almost exactly what I hoped Diablo 3 would have been.

I enjoy the trading system, the semi complicated monetary system and the fact that you customize any character to do whatever you want. Sure, there are warts but it's a beta game and I came in fully expecting issues and changes...so I'm perfectly fine playing an unfinished game.
Well, it's not that big of a game. Lone-wolf RPG player-types (which many are) might give up soloing after cruel cuz of the difficulty or a too diverse passive tree.

Torchlight 2 online blew up and dropped back pretty quick too.
Loot system is also a complaint for me. Drops are so rare as it is, I've level 5 characters past 60 including 1 75 on hardcore and I still never seen an exalted orb. And I've been playing since launch day daily. Now you combine that with this total bullshit loot system where someone can come and take that from you?? That's poor design in my opinion.

People argue it adds cut throat feel??? That's false when the only players it benefits are melee characters. Ranged get screwed everytime consistently. To me changing this would be a good step.

If I play 100 hours I deserve 1 exalted orb. I don't deserve to be stuck with progression cause jerkoffs keep taking my shit.

And I promise you the number of people who feel this way is far more vast then the opposition.
less players in party's could have something to do with the people your lvl, goes something like:
xxxxx ;low
xxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxx
xxxxxxx
xxxxxxx
xxxxxx
xxxxx
xxxxx
xxxx
xxx
xxx
xx

x ;high

also how people have started to make alts making there be less people at high levels
I don't know about others but I have taken a break from PoE for the following reasons:

1. Poor performance on ATI/AMD cards, especially in group play, making coop impossible
2. Desyncs
3. Unviability of pure melee builds
4. Loot system

Might check in again after a couple of patches. The core of this game is excellent, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired (yeah I know, beta etc.).

D3 sold 12m, only 3000 are online right now.

could be worse.

lol, yeah it could be.

I suspect that there will be many ebbs and flows of players as the game progresses through open beta up through release.

This has been the same trend since closed beta launched in fall 2011.

Enjoying the game for what it is personally.

However, are you people really surprised that a game with this sort of difficulty and complexity(arguable) with its loot rules was ever going to appeal to the public?

I think most people, including the developers, know that this will always be a niche game for a more hardcore player base. Weather that would be sustainable in the long run, remains to be seen.
