For example until lvl 90 i used
then switched to
My chaos damage per second stat went up from 8k to 18k. The reason is +1 link with empower lvl 2 and +1/+2 on bow. Maybe you didnt notice that +1 on bow is not only for active skills but also for support gems. That cause my lvl 2 empower is actualy lvl 3 and since lvl 3 empower gives +2 to active skills my Caustic Arrow is +3(bow)+2(empower) =25lvl. That is where your dmg comes from.

hey, have u considered adding poison into the 6L??
i heard that it's pretty good on supporting caustic arrow,
since they have actually nerfed the caustic arrow gem base,
do u think lvl 3 empower is still far greater than any other support gem??

I'm not sure but I think poison does not affect Caustic Arrow

Lvl 3 (or better 4) empower is awesome. I bought L21 Caustic Arrow yesterday. Take a look at tooltips. Here is a tooltip with CA L20/Q20:



and here with CA L21/Q20:



As you can see Chaos Dmg per sec from lvl 20 to 21 grows as hell. Other gems I'm using to show the tooltip are: Concentrated Effect L19/Q20 (doesn't affect the tooltip), Empower L2, Void Manipulation L20/Q20, Rapid Decay L20/Q20 and Slower Projectiles L20/Q20.

I dont understand why projectile/physical damage increases the area cloud damage.

According to the tooltip, the cloud does a flat amount of chaos damage (like your standard spell) and is independent of the arrow damage. What do I miss?

Physical damage DOES NOT, Projectile damage does.
