(Dec 17) HC Weekend Clear-a-thon League

That's pretty bullshit. it's not like I'm asking for an undo on my death, i just want to be ranked at the level I died at.
This was the best iteration of your event yet.
Please keep it! :P

Wow... someone is top20 at lvl 12.
Why so few people in the event ?

In HC race, if you die, you are out of the league.
I'm sure there were were a fair number more competitors at the start of the 3 hour race. A lot of people give up if they die after the first hour because it is extremely difficult to catch up.

Hmm, more than half of players die and people are still saying the game is too easy...

Ok yep I got robbed. I really don't know what to say. I think what frustrates me the most is that placing the players from HC into SC when they die is 99.99% of the time a great idea.

I just don't understand why your level gets knocked out of the ladder.

Is there an issue with how the league works that makes it impossible to track the level characters where at when they died in HC?

It doesn't matter. The rule says, in hardcore you have to be alive at the end. Even if you have been killed by a bug or whatever.

I'm sorry - this is partly because it's a rule that carried over from the first HC tournament we did months ago and partly because we don't yet support freezing people in the ladder. I agree that we should look into changing this in the future.

So what your saying is that I bust my ass all the way to the top and at the last second, when the league is over I die so therefore I lose?

Hell screw the prize at this point, this is a key flaw in a Hard Core ladder race. if you die, you should be ranked at your death. You should not disappear as if you never played.

Edit after reading Chris's post: Will it be fixed before the next HC ladder race?

Oh, wow, I should have participated if competition was this scarce.

I've always thought this rule was quite fair and totally intended. I mean, dead people can't get prizes, usually...
