wow, nobody getting to 28 this time? I had a new strategy that would take me to 29 at least, but then the flu hit me like a hammer. Gotta try it next week. Congrats to all the winnes!

I'm pretty sure I stated a couple pages back that I don't care about the prizes anymore. The HC ladder races as they are now do not promote high level play through. They encourage playing it safe instead of boldness.

Now if your cool with playing Nervous Nancy mode HC, by all means continue.

Nobody even made it to 26!



The server issues near the end may have had a little to do with that, but it seems like this type of competition makes it harder to level efficiently while going for prizes. Then the low participation likely made it so some of the Act 2 areas weren't very competitive, leading to less reason to visit the higher risk, higher experience areas.

Damn, seems like the competition was pretty fun. Sorry I missed it. I'm shocked that no one made it past lvl 25. I would think clearing areas would net more xp and not less.

3 pages in the final ladder. I hope the lack of players was due to deaths and not a low turnout.

The problem with clearing areas is it's fairly easy to miss enemies. One guy was stuck with several enemies left in Fellshrine, remade the instance, got stuck again with one enemy left, and gave up. The top duelist couldn't find his final enemy in Pools and Streams for a long time. Eventually he also remade the instance and cleared it the second time.

Man I got screwed bad....hard to get over that one, wish the game would boot your character faster if you disconect...would have easily made it to lvl 27-28 this time(was 26 last time and doing better this time)....lose out on exalted orb, and the ammy.

This is why I never played HC in D2, and probably wont play HC on POE. Why the hell does your character have to stay in the game dying for 30 secs? Lol....Never ever crash while playing default. What a ripoff. I think I'd prefer a softcore race, death from crashing just makes me not want to play next time....maybe thats why no one joins the races huh?

In HC race, if you die, you are out of the league.
I'm sure there were were a fair number more competitors at the start of the 3 hour race. A lot of people give up if they die after the first hour because it is extremely difficult to catch up.
