I really hope that people who die aren't going to be eligible for prizes in the future. Isn't that the whole point of Hardcore? To not die?
If you were frozen at your death level, there would be no play in the top 10, it would just be the same people. Or at least much less play than there is currently. I don't have a problem with being ranked accordingly if you die, but you shouldn't be eligible for prizes. Maybe if the people who died had their names on the scoreboard but greyed out or something? Or if there was a separate scoreboard? I just really think it would ruin the whole point of these hardcore competitions if people could die and still get level prizes. Ok, please explain to me why a dead character of higher level should not win a prize.
Is it that they did not play as well as a lower level but alive character? Is it that they broke a rule and thus should not exist? Death is already a huge penalty in HC without saying that they deserve no prizes. Once you die, you can no longer gain any more exp, you are locked in. Why would you keep the prizes you earn before you die, but none after you die. If dying disqualifies you, you should not get anything at all.
You are saying that characters no longer exist with regard to highest level, but still keep 'earned' prizes. Are the character's levels not hard earned? |

So you played it safe at the last minute. The very essence of Hard Core.
If you are leaving the game to check a web page to see what prizes are left to take, I don't know what to say; maybe something is wrong. Also is there a way to make the announcements appear when you mute global chat. I would have liked to follow along with people's clears as I level ground.
