Well this was a much better competition I think. I was having fun and actually doing good for once. I was in the top 4 from 1st to like 6th level, then the top 10 until 12th. Having a blast. Even actually managed to claim a level prize - the fetid pool, 2x regals :D.
So as said previously I was having a blast and I noticed that all the people ahead of me had skipped clearing old fields, so I thought I'd give it a try for a divine orb. So there I was merrily bashing my way along, hadn't even got close to a death when SUDDENLY. DESYNCH. THOUSANDS OF THEM. I had gathered a huge number of mobs, and was tearing through them, then suddenly I was in a non ideal spot (i.e. the middle) of ALL of them. Then I flickered out and then my potions were empty, I couldn't click anything for a few seconds, monsters I had killed were alive again and vice versa, then YOU HAVE DIED. :***(((( Extremely crushing disappointment. I really had a shot at getting 25+ this time I think and by the time I finish writing this I'm sure I could have cleared old fields, and ganked that divine. But oh well, c'est la vie, this is a beta and all. I will just have to wait and HOPE that this kind of ladder is held again and I am able to not desynch horribly. Still, besides my disappointment and the lost opportunity to do better, I'm still 2x regals ahead. Which is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Got close to 10, died, then fought myself back up to top 15 in the ladder. Died again in Old Fields and gave up with half the tournament over, almost made it to Crossroads WP but the trail kept going, down to 9 health, finally the third archer sniped me off right before the exit.
Definitely the most fun league to date. Had a disconnect after Merveil right before getting the Act2 Forest WP, and had to run all the way back. A fair amount of lag on my end. I demand another race be held tomorrow. IGN @dime Last edited by dime#0720 on Dec 17, 2011, 6:09:52 PM

That sucked, level 17 and a half and the game crashed. :(
I was surviving fine untill then, though my build was completely rubbish. Oh well. gotta try again next week. Not a crash, but a disconnect as the servers went down! I appear to be living in "Romance Standard Time". That has to be good! :) Last edited by radiatoren#0601 on Dec 17, 2011, 6:48:49 PM
