Are you finding Divination cards useful or fun?
Just like many other PoE features GGG is full of hype on Divination Cards but always comes up way short on their implementation. GGG expects us to farm forever to get a few cards.
PoE is a great arpg if all you want to do is farm all day every day and waste your life away. Arpg loot and crafting orb starvation is bad enough, now GGG adds Divi-card starvation too. Enough with the way too low RNG crappy chances at a divi-card. This is same BS RNG drop mechanics that GGG has foisted on us since the beginning since there is no real endgame except farming. GGG keeps moving the level 100 goal posts further away for the average player (more hours of endless mapping for less xp) in the vain hope that it will keep the no-lifer elites from racing to a level 100 build. This time it was done by 2 players in Tempest league in under 3 weeks. Hey GGG, a few no-lifers will always get to 100 fast. All you are doing is pissing off the rest of us with this stupid thinking that level 100 is to be prevented at all costs. And other elites state that level 100 is not the endgame goal, that a level 80 or 85 or who knows what the hell level is the end of mapping that the average player should strive to get to and then start over. That thinking (while most likely true) just "sucks donkey" (SNL Wayne's World said this way back in the 1980s so I'm not original here so no censor) and makes it very frustrating for the PoE masses trying to get to 100. Also same for finding a full set of cards to vendor. What's that I hear? Oh right... we who play PoE are on the never ending farming merry-go-round and will need a 39½ foot pole to reach the brass ring. I still play PoE for the build crafting but am not finding enough divination cards to amount to anything useful, even if July was a blue moon month and I got a few. I've always hated that some drops such a 5L gear were a "once in a blue moon" event. Since the next blue moon isn't until 2018 divi-cards will be as scarce as rain in California so I'm not getting excited about them at all. If I did I'd just be pissed that they don't drop often enough, even if RNGesus smiled on me. Low drop rates are low drop rates and many 100s of hours of farming to get a set to vendor is not the way to reward our loyalty to you GGG. Please stop starving us out. Go back to the drawing board GGG and either come up with a real endgame for us or increase the divi-card drop rates so we can actually use them or get rid of them completely. This is PoE and not Farmville! "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2247070 |

Cards are a great addition the game, but it's more like finding an exalt rather than a grinding option. I don't bother grinding areas with particular cards since the drop rate is lower than actually just farming currency for it

they're cool, obviously the ones for rare items are going to be exceedingly rare and not really solo farmable, I think there should be more useful easy ones to get, but overall I really like the idea, it just adds more to the game, and the art/flavor on them is just really great

Most cards should stack to 20-30 and drop way more frequently so you can feel some kind of progression. The problem is that, as always, they priorized the fucking economy so the cards can be traded easily and retain high value. GGG just wanted to make another currency in circulation instead of making something fun and enjoyable to farm.
At least the art is cool and most of them offer an good/interesting reward, but it could be done much better. Every merciless zones should be like end game maps, they should have made the levelling process normal/cruel, and make merc just +68, with small increments on levels on every act, without drop penalties. So we don't feel like wasting our time farming for a specific card in a 62 zone because the card just drops also on a 78map that you won't never see. ♠RaGoN♦

Last night I completed a set of GCP cards. Some people on the thread don't like the currency cards but I don't get many currency drops so the cards help. For example, my current toon at level 60 had seen 1 GCP drop. Now I have two ;-)

I'm fine with the drop rates, but as some have said, the creativity of the supporters is laughable. Do we really need that many currency cards? Or 2 of the same item, one corrupted, one not? Kind of silly if you ask me lol.

I like the idea of them, but don't think that the top-tier items should be obtainable through a card system: IE Acuities, Voll's ammy, Disfavour, etc.
At the very least these top-tier items should all yield a corrupted item with a chance of getting a bricked yellow. IGN: Lets_talk_to_clad 2.0 Endgame Poison Arrow Full Build Guide: view-thread/1412226 Last edited by cladclad#0419 on Aug 2, 2015, 11:28:21 AM

I don't think the reward has as much to do with them as people seem to think they should. They're too rare to be functional. They're simply there for recognition, and the item/currency given isn't all that. You'll trade for the items long before you get them via the cards.

" This is basically what I was going to respond. It's funny, the new card coming out is yet another currency card. Come one guys... you dish out that kind of money and THAT is your dream card? /smh |
