Why don’t we remove trading altogether?
" Yup. It would turn the game into an entirely linear experience. Which, to me, would be a really tired method of enjoyment. |

" And you know this how? Been playing a lot of trade free POE? Oh wait... All they really have to do is increase the damn droprate of orbs and items, finding a few blues and whites from a rare mob that was hard to kill is discouraging. While others breeze through maps and have loot clutter of orbs and rares and uniques they even vendor. |

Perhaps what we need is vendor trading which, like Masters crafting, is sub-optimal, but easy. Instead of getting Alteration shards for items above a given tier, get some set value (calculated from a menu of attributes), however much below the market price, and be done with it. This would have the additional benefit of acting as an item sink. That way, people who don't mind trading can trade for better deals, while everyone else can rake in some sweet orbs without the messy inconvenience of dealing with other people. =^[.]^=

SELF FOUND LEAGUE WHERE?
|

Like many already mentioned: play selffound.
Droprates aint good enough for selffound? Wait for selffound leagues to be released. Why not tweak droprates? How can an item be rare if everyone finds it ? |

" Not sure if serious. Why not tweak droprates? Sasme reason you wear a condom, it would be useful to do so. Right now you can only really get bis gear and get good at the game if you trade, otherwise it takes forever and a day. This game is not noob friendly because of the bad drops. people come, trading sucks, self found, they leave. Not saying the exact opposite is good, but this game has a bad after taste. First year in, GOAT game, dig in deep enough and you realize youre wading around in shit. |

" If they just made it easy to obtain very good gear, there would be hardly any long time motivation. Blizzard did exactly that: They removed trading, by that almost every kind of social interaction and buffed the droprates of everything. Most people don't play it for more than weeks because they have seen everything. Whatever drops, it's almost never something special. By that, the spirit of Diablo 2 was completely lost. I know why GGG doesn't intend to do the same mistake. Last edited by darkmatch#7802 on Jun 1, 2015, 5:43:04 AM

" Its funny, because the reality of the thing you said is totally different. People are playing the shit out of d3, constantly, and the most incorrect thing you said is that getting all items is easy. You will need to farm a shit ton of time to get best items possible so you can progress in higher rifts. And the number of players and how much they played the moment the removed AH and RMAH is increased a lot and is on steady levels for more than a year now when the expansion was released In fact a lot of people stop playing POE a lot sooner because the game progression is just bad compared to other arpg games. As the game is not balanced around player, but around trading, and the funny thing is it doesnt even have a normal trading system in game, but you need to get third party software to make it at leas somewhat ok to trade. And last, arpg are never played because how bad are the drop rates in game. That is one of the most wrong sentence and mindset I see constantly here. The reason why you will be play arpg is replay value, gameplay and content in the game. Making a item drop in 10 000h will not improve anything. When people talk about self found they want a progression pace to be similar for them as when they would trade. And as it was already said, a separate league for people that dont like trading but where progression is balanced around the player (not economy) is the best thing possible to fix this problem. There are two main reasons why I think it will not happen (even though I would love it). First, majority of arpg population will always have more fun getting drops from killing monsters, than getting it from trading. So majority of PoE players will play that league and just confirm how wrong a decision of GGG to make a game around economy is (not the first time) And second, if there is no trading there is one less chance for people to see others people cosmetics, witch is the bigger problem/reason (but than again hideout implementation is also strange, as also prevents people to see other people in town, so maybe this is not as big problem as I thought). " First of all: I hear you and understand where you're coming from. A share many of your views, but not all. But when it comes to this quote, you're wrong. There are SURPRISINGLY many people who likes trading. Not just what you earn from it; but the actual trading part of trading. They love the shit out of it. Understand it those who can, because I'm having a hard time understanding it. To all others: Why do you have to turn everything so freaking black/white? It's quite funny to read, that "tweaked drop rates" suddenly becomes "raining orbs and uniques" and "every item will drop all the time". It's pretty clear you do not know what the hell you're talking about, bringing comments like that. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
