Why don’t we remove trading altogether?

First off, i didn't read the whole 23 pages, so what i'll say was probably said before somewhere; i'll say it again anyway.

What does D3 have anything at all to do with trading in POE?

Absolutely nothing.

That's like saying "What does Pepsi have to do with Coca Cola? Absolutely nothing." Or you could use LoL and Dota 2 for that matter, or MoH and CoD.

The two games are currently the main (or biggest) contenders on the ARPG market; sure, there are other ARPG's out there but these two are the biggest & most known ones. As such, each of them provides a different expirience for people who like ARPG games.

D3 is for mostly casual arpg players who like a relatively simple way to kill some monsters and get loot; it has colorful cartoony graphics, not a lot of decisionmaking, no skilltrees, no trading and tons of shiny loot falling from the sky.

PoE is for mostly hardcore arpg players who like a lot of theorycrafting and playing around with hundreds of options; it has a gritty darker look, a lot of decisionmaking, a huge skilltree, trading and relatively rare good loot which one has to actively play for.

Removing trading from PoE would probably kill the game as it would take every player who prefers an ARPG with trading the only option on the market; it would be an idiotic thing to do since the thing which keeps PoE successful and GGG's coffers full is exactly that it provides an alternative for those who like ARPG games but don't like the system in the other major ARPG on the market (D3).

It's like wanting to eat oranges but complaining that they don't taste like an apple. "Guys, what if we would inject apple juice in to oranges? In that way the orange would still look like an orange but would taste like an apple, wouldn't this be great?"

No ffs, it wouldn't. If you want apple taste, eat an apple and stop trying to ruin the fun for those who want to eat oranges. If you want to play and ARPG without trading and with a working selffound system, play Diablo 3 and stop ruining the fun for those who like trading in their ARPG. It's that simple really.

The current trading system plagues this game very badly. Some serious changes must be made.

Current trading system?

what trading system, the game has no trade system (aside from a 3rd party one)

Granted that 3rd party one works alright but what if it suddenly shut down?

It's funny how 3rd party mentioning is also a bad thing. Imaging how huge other games rely on 3rd party involvement just as much. Let's take WoW as an example. Without add-ons that game would be unplayable lol. And what about the gazillions other games that are being kept up by mods etc.

Dont get me wrong I love PoE.trade but if that site suddenly shut down we would be left with nothing
I dont see any any key!

and there's word floating around for cards to reward headhunter belts

Yes, yes there are :)
Why don't we just make all items Bind-on-Account? like D3 did. I didn't think they could make D3 any worse until they made everything BoA and radically improved drop rate.

Trading is what makes PoE interesting. It has the best economy of any game since Diablo 2 (prior to duping).

Now if we could just get an in-game trading tool much like an Auction House (for in-game currency only ofc) then I'd be very happy.
