This isn't happening though, no need for hyperbole.

But hyperbole is 99% of the forums!

Hyperbole^2 = Reality.

I think.

Also in favour of removing the entire moderator team. Not adjust the current one but completely remove it with one or two new people whose sole task is to remove illegal content. Nothing else.
(My one post before I get banned again.)

I am in support of this. The moderation team is 1/2 of the reason for the recent decline in the game, the other being piss poor beta balance changes.

It is truly sad that GGG is becoming the death of their own game.

Since moderation has nothing to do with the game, that's a very interesting statement.

Community is a big part of any online game...

Having recognizable posters being put on probation for no apparent reason every few days such as BMBI, Xav, and I_NO leaves the forum a bleak and unfun place. For people interested in the community aspect of this game the current gestapoesque moderation is indeed damaging.

This thread is a case in point. The last big thread that had many dev responses was Rory's announcement for his plans to ruin EB. That thread reached over 90 pages. During a similar time frame this thread hasn't even reached 40.

That many people have left the game or at the very least left the forum due to GGG's current string of bad decisions.

The reasons they were probated may not be so obvious to you, but there was certainly a reason. GGG's policy of keeping this stuff between the poster and GGG is unfortunate but I understand the intent.

The game itself is accessed through Steam or the Client. The forum is for discussing the game. I'm not aware of any "recent declines in the game" and the forum has shown a marked improvement in tone. Over time and the with the beta ending, the traffic will increase significantly in GD (which appears to be the measure of forum activity for some).

Gestapoesque? Man, if you are part of this "fun" community, i don't want to be part of it.
edit: And of course it is the moderators' behaviour that destroys the community-feeling, right? Not the one-liners, the flames, the trollings, the name-callings, the sarcasm, the not-helpful "get good" answers, the elitarism, the spam or the insiders between maybe a handful "veteran" posters. Nah. That didn't hurt. It is this gestapoesque moderation...
The Sirus fight is a disgrace.

I keep expecting this thread to fall off but it keeps plunging along lol
I dont see any any key!
Unlike the Razer Footprints the people here stay on topic.

Imo the game is dying because there isn't any major change in this game.
The CB->OB changes made the game totally uninteresting to me.

It fails on the same levels the generic MMOPRG fails and even better it feels boring because of the same reasons D3 feels boring after 1 week or so.

The forums became boring before the rulechanges anyway.
This has nothing to do with new forum rules. It's the core mechanics of the game.

The "no hate rule" did nothing to posting behaviour.

What do people expect? Desync is gone and the game is totally revived.

People who still play don't care about desync anymore.

Brainless monotone unrewarding grinding and trading kills the game. But yeah there is a SFL thread and once they change their opinion the game will be on life support.

Sure. The fact that GGG could afford for employees to work on the lock step mode, or on pet projects like the renaming of monsters, the fact that they moved to a new, bigger office, that they are expanding and hiring new people, that they invested in more servers, that the money they raked in for the new "access to beta" supporter packs was a record high, all clear signs that the game is dying.
