What would you expect from a league where nothing is ever lost and only just amounted, horded or forgotten about?

I haven't read all 30 pages and don't plan on it, but I remember a certain person scamming someone else out of their mirror worthy gear way back in open beta. That person then went on to become super rich, and the proof posts were deleted. I'll let you guess who that person was.

Well it is true to some extent. If you just buy up everything of a certain kind, a certain unique and all of its divination cards as one example you can pretty much control that market and dictate the price of this item.

A monopoly always affects all people unless the person having it is not using it... which would make it rather pointless to get that much control in the first place. In our normal economy there are regulations for this... in PoE though there can`t be a message popping up saying "Sorry you already control 88% of all Shavronnes Wrappings in the game, you are not allowed to get more."

Thats often why economies in games fail at super rare stuff, since it can often be hoarded by a very small amount of people, that due to their standing not rarely happen to know each other.

For most people that doesn`t matter much, since they aren`t working in those spheres, but those moderatly wealthy are normally negatively affected, since different to our normal world people can sustain themself, so the poor people can just kill some enemies and get stuff.

Wasn't that hard to craft "perfect" items when they (not gonna state names) were purposely crashing the servers over and over again causing rollbacks though, and/or using the old guild stash dupe method that had been there for what, months?

No salt here, I mostly play self-found. Just stating the obvious.

There is middle ground, though. I mean, sure, you have solo self-found in a HC Challenge League on one end of the spectrum, and massive high-end trading and group play in Standard SC on the other end, but you can go for something in-between those extremes. Kind of like most of us live our lives, too. We aren't billionaires, but we also don't live off of the land.

In order to be a high-end trader, I'd have to put in so much time that my actual life would probably fully go to the dogs. Imagine how well off you could be if you worked with such zeal on your actual wealth in real life? I don't have the zeal there either, because life to me more is more than business. Same with PoE.

If you want to be like others, you have to do what they do in order to become like them. It's a choice.
