So it's all or nothing John? You either have to have all mirror gear or self found? Mirrors are a straight up luxury item. With terrible price/performance. There are plenty of builds that do hardest content in the game w/o them and mostly mirrored just do it a bit faster.

There was a dagger I wanted from him and had 250ex laying around but when prices shot up from 250ex to 500ex post eternal cancellation I was like fuck that noise. I still do uber with a 3ex dagger. John you don't need anything he has. No one does.

Your looking at staffs well PoH is great for caster and Hegemony for attackers and affordable and anything a mirror can do they can too.

I totally agree with all of this.

ye me2, mirrored items are just overkill, nobody needs them at the current game state.

The major problem with perfect crafted gear is that if you have played this game from the start then you know that most of those mirrored perfects were not crafted using 100 exalts and at a massive risk to the crafter now those ACCOUNTS were certainly banned but much of the gear is still in the game.

What difference does that make to a self found player some may ask well that one is easy GGG have shown repeatedly that they balance around extremes and are constantly adjusting the drop rates based on how much gear/orbs exist as a whole. Now if 6-8 people have all the gear and most if not all the orbs (particularly mirrors) then that balance is horribly biassed towards a type of player that 99.9% of the player base are not and can never be.

They should have had a vote when they removed eternals whether or not to wipe all gear made using them.It would have been massively harsh but i think it would have fixed a great deal of the problems we have both with build power balance and the stupid monopoly culture that is the poe economy.

ye u are right it wasnt 100ex used it was 1000+++

and maybe u did not realize that crafting with masters is the problem? u can reach 5*t1 w/o using an eternal and that even cheaper than ever!

While his shop is a ridiculous situation I do not envy the guy whatsoever, it must be a fucking nightmare for him to deal with. Imagine the amount of time he has to spend maintaining his empire, his 'gameplay' is dealing with people & trading the market & I personally cannot think of anything worse. He is welcome to it

Actually this was almost my exact same thought the first time i ventured into AXN's shop..

I checked out all this insane shit he had and the first thought that come to my mind was..

How the fuck does this guy even get to play the game AT ALL? I mean if you have that much high end shit up for sale then i bet he cant even get through half a map without someone messaging him about a deal.
And im sure since hes so high profile and everyone knows who he is he not only gets tons of people wanting to make trades but also tons of people just messaging him for stupid shit or to try and lowball and shit too.

Maybe hes just the kind of dude who enjoys the trade aspect of the game more than playing it... Thats cool if he is im not hating... i hear theres some other dude named King Currency or something to that effect that does exactly that... he ONLY trades and doesnt even play the game at all... its just not for me... ill just stay poor as dirt so i can enjoy the best part of POE... actually playing it!

EDIT: ................I would however cut off one of my balls or a finger or ear or something and put it in a jar for him and mail it to him for one of his Vagan Dagger's.... Im just saying..
There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation.
The former is Wisdom, the latter is Fear.

pure conspiracy theory nonsense. You are aware there was an instance crash rollback bug for a short period of time and then, in your own head, have completely made up that most of the mirrored gear on standard was made this way during that time.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

fuck trade.
I think I'll be officially going back to self-found.

seriously, imagine a situation where one person in one nation, will be owning and controlling all the natural resources and industry of the entire world.
that's what it looks like.

I hope that "economy" thing works out well for you guys, because I'll be damned if I ever go near it again.

he worked a system, which is fundamentally flawed.
that's the problem.

economy has its limits. there will likely be at least one Billionaire per industry: one for steel, one for gas, one for oil, a couple for software and so on.
comparable to Path Of Exile, economy should look like this: one guy with the best dagger. one guy with the best AR chest. one guy with best bow etc'.

AXN's shop? that's like one man came in, bought out all the other Billionaires and took over everything.

sure, a big part of it is jealously.
I bought a bad-rolled Astramentis for my build yesterday, and for a brief moment felt like a kingpin - while this guy is likely doing multiple-hundred Exalt deals each hour.

but an "economy" which allows that to happen, equals crap.
despite all of GGG's efforts and precious economy-centric balance and design.

truth be told, I never liked the fkn "economy" in the game, so seeing things like this makes it even easier for me to hate the system.
yes, the system. the man is only a symptom.

therefore, fuck trade.

I'm bringing this, as a good example why GGG should admit defeat in their precious "economy" BS, and finally focus on gameplay and stability, for cryin out loud.

But seriously now, how did this hurt your gameplay? You can't afford the absolute best equipment in the game? Pretty sure you need to spend as much time crafting as AXN in order to get those things. Oh and only a handful of people have the time to do this and thats how it should be. You're going to have to deal with mediocre-great equipment until you have the mirrors to pay or the hours/money to craft. GL.
Pretty sure John got over it like the thread is ages long why the fuck did one of you necro it?

By "get over it" do you mean still harping on SF in every other thread?
Keep PoE2 Difficult.

If GGG removes mirrors for example, drop rates of exalteds, good items, and so on can go up.
If GGG disables trading, drop rate of almost anything is able to go up.

Thus, johnkeys would get more drops and thus a more rewarding gameplay experience.

It matters unless you don't want to see that it does.
