REFLECT IS STUPID!
" So it's my logic even though you said it? Interesting. Also, better gear wouldn't make reflect worse. It makes it easier. I wonder how you think an item that gives you more life (which means faster leech rate for non-VP builds), more resistances (if you aren't capped, which is a huge difference), increased maximum resistance (which is even bigger), and so on. So, how's better gear make it worse? |

"Since when is being aware of what you're hitting not a skill? Being blocked by walls fun to you? Then you should stick to that game. You are confusing upgrading your gear with upgrading your weapon. You have 8 item slots that are not your weapon. You have to upgrade more than just your weapon before saying better gear makes reflect worse. Better gear makes reflect easier, not harder. You're just doing it wrong. Guild Leader The Amazon Basin <BASIN>

" all my gear are pretty much best except weapon capped resistance i told you 90 level i crit myself for 80% of my hp with my current bow and only upgrade to my gear is a weapon so... yes i cant progress my gear anymore only becouse of reflect (why wouldnt i use skills that fly beyond my screen if thats my build? Also i can do all mods on maps currently but if i upgrade my weapon there will be 1 that i cant with my skills so it wont be a progress) Last edited by computerlame#2558 on Sep 25, 2014, 12:39:24 AM

" Perfect gear won't make up for reflect, just like it won't make up for desync. It's based on what the player does. AA is what really mitigates fire reflect, and fire damage in general. Gear doesn't do nearly as much. |

" It would appear that the issue in your case is that you were too stupid to realize you were playing a flawed build before you hit level 90. I've seen people play ranged builds just fine in hardcore so this really is YOUR personal problem. I think you're confusing "flawed mechanics" with your flawed build. You can put the best gear on the shittiest of builds and it would still be a shit build. Rather than raging til your braincells cease to function, why not make a new build? Why the fuck are you playing this game if you simply want to be spoonfed. Narcissism isn't adorable, and alot of you seem to be using that trait in attempt to get what you want, is it simply because all of you that bitch about this mechanic are too lazy to spend a day figuring out a build that properly functions or is it simply that you all don't know how to play this game? I don't see any HC players bitching about this mechanic, why? Because they're smart enough to think a build through whilst playing it if not before or after. If they find a flaw they will attempt to make a workaround in which they are accounted for. TLDR: Learn to play the game. Last edited by Deimos1337#6178 on Sep 25, 2014, 3:27:34 AM

" The way I see it, reflect works as intended then. Imagine it wasn't there. Then your char could perfectly safely roflstomp all content. How would that be good design? No, reflect is there precisely so some extremes in builds become harder/riskier. There should be more such mechanics which force you to compromise, preventing some of the other extreme roflstomp "exploits". " Uh, so what is your problem then, exactly? :) May your maps be bountiful, exile

Ah, then I have a solution for you:
Change the char into an unarmed fighter and see if you can still progress :) (FB boxers are fun, really) May your maps be bountiful, exile
