Because i prefer to put DPS nodes not some defensive booring shits with tons of HP and zero dps oh the desync too.....

My reason is I am a noob (casual gamer) and can't help it but to die every once in awhile. I like to be able to die without ruining my gaming experience.

Don't wanna die to desync. If I'm about to die, I want it to be from my own mistakes, not from desync.

desync. oh and i experienced 2 deaths by loading screen (on HC).
the design choice to limit invulnerable time is questionable, at least... |

" this 'constant attention' can also be taken (at least for some) as: constantly stressing... why should I want this? " How can I be excited about the beauty of a game (environment, gfx, effects... even to enjoy and examine the interaction of skills etc), if I havent the time to do so, to have to focus always on what maybe happening around me? I'm much more excited if I can do it slightly more relaxed. " Only if these players are blinded by the imagination to 'prove' theirself, by a challenge that is MUCH less important than people try to claim. The ability to play very fast, much and efficient by some makes a real aim for a top-spot really out of reach for the huge majority of the (less nolifing) players... Many of them dont 'need' your call for the 'challenge'. Comparable with pvp: if I dont like it, dont want it - I dont need nor accept any invitations. b) Its ONE playstyle, that isnt present in HC (or you wont score anything) - but its never the only one. To me, its mostly the playstyle of HC players that have to do that 'boring' standard for some specific goal. And of course, there are this blinded guys as mentioned above, that see SC as a challenge from an HC view. "Real" addicted casuals DONT play it this way. c) Its often said that Standard/SC would prevent you from "learning" - but its the exact opposite; its a neccessary mode TO learn, for people that are new to a game or even new to the game class... there's no way to not make mistakes while seeing what happens and how things work - and you cant do this if every mistake can or will kill you. invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

" I'm not for 100% sure to what your reply refers? In general: see my above post. Yes, people can die on every corner by playing mindless, or not taking care of anything; yes people can die 100 times while doing bosses without preparation etc... but in what way does this affect ME while trying to die as least as possible? By nothing: I play MY game, not theirs. And I also dont play the game of people that call me/us scrubs or anything similar coaxing :D " it maybe means he dont want to be stalked, or he's using multiple accounts for whatever reason. Its simply his decision; an opinion has nothing to do with how or how many I play. invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

I don't play HC because I consider the challenge the game has to offer is not HC worthy.
I play HC when I reckon what's the game has to offer and I accept to tackle it fully. Playing HC in this game is mostly about avoiding the challenges the game has to offer. Also, there is absolutely not a single difference between playing 'hardcore' in HC mode and playing 'hardcore' in SC mode. Zero. A smiley face on the character sheet of chars who never died would serve the same purpose than the current HC mode. |

I don't play HC because I play games to temporarily get away from everyday stress, not to create new instances of it.
Losing 10% XP in the feasibly-obtained levels (up to 90) and then strategically attempting atziri at the start of new levels without any fear of death is a lot more appealing to my time schedule. 1. Because I get nothing out of HC that I wouldn't have in SC
2. I like to plan a build and follow through with it, and have fun with end game, don't want to start it over 3 times before I can reach maps 3. I don't always want an undestructible char, if my char dies once in a while but is twice as fun to play than if it was tankier, that's a win. |
