Please dont try to trade if you disagree with the asking price

I usually type a "nty" when someone gives me a lower offer and I'm done with it.

But the bait-and-switch still gets me angry. Sequences like:

Me: WTS clean Tabula for 1.5 ex
Him: <send invite>
Me: <accept invite>
Him: a1n
Me: <travel to a1n>
Him: how about 25 chaos?

invariably leads to:
Me: <leaves party>
Me: /ignore Him
Dear Maligaro,
I left my head in San Francisco, I lost my legs in Peru
My liver and kidney are on holiday in Sydney
And I am sending my Heart to you

Whats a clean tabula? And 1.5 ex? Either make it 1 ex and a few whatevs orbs or 1 ex or 2 ex. And a tabula is a tabula, there is no dirty or clean. There might be mirrored or corrupted but otherwise stated that shouldnt even be a factor.

~b/o = open for bartering
~price = fixed price

If you feel people are continously trying to deliberately undercutting you, I'd try the ~price tag which will show up as "fixed price" on poe.xyz :-)

I thought b/o means buy out as in set price.

Problem is the way he spoke is just too unfriendly and annoying.

Ignore button is there for a reason.

It is funny that after i clear my ignore list it is always the same people to be ignored first. Wallmart_girl guy pretty much lives in there. Fck flippers

Also:

~b/o: i would sell instantly at this price but the price is open for negotiation.
~price: i would sell instantly at this price
~c/o: i wont sell lower than this price

99% of these c/o on items are fake, it just a lowballer protection.

Who says the price is between 1.5 ex and 2 ex? What are 1.5 ex? Everything is worth 1 wisdom scrap to 1000000000000000 mirrors. You make your price the way you want to.

I'm still trying to download Dirk Austin's version of PoE. Haven't found it yet though.

I could be wrong but i think B/o is buying/buyout offer, aka the price you would usualy let the item go, imo its the same as fixed prices, and when you say the b/o you are saying you will sell the item for that amount but people can offer, when you have fixed price, there is nothing to barter.

People sometimes don't realize there items are worth less because THEY ARE NOT ALONE lmfao shitload of people need items and its about demand, if i just payed 1ex for 3 tabula's why pay 1.5-2, because you THINK its worth 1.5 ex lol i buy tabulas for 20chaos on default, because i love corrupting them, I offer every single one 20-25chaos, when i have it ofc, and guess what? about 1person out of 5-9 will be totally fine with it, especially in the current leagues lmfao.

Also drop rates affect price, constantly give all your items a huge loose, or go nuts when someone who is better then you at finding his cheap items is asking you for a fair price, I dont get why you even made a post
hit me up @sarrow lets have fun :D

A clean Tabula is a non-corrupted one. People buy clean over corrupted (and therefore a clean one is more valuable to them) so they can corrupt it themselves, looking for that desirable +1 to gems.

I don't see anything wrong with messaging the seller and trying to negotiate if you think their price is too high. Sure, sometimes they might be trying to lowball, but it goes both ways. I was looking for a certain gem a couple weeks ago(can't remember exactly which one, but it was an a2n quest reward if I remember right) and happened to see someone in trade chat selling it. I messaged and asked what they wanted for it and they replied 2 chaos. I replied that it wasn't worth anywhere near that, maybe an alch or fusing at most. They basically said lol no way. So I went to poe.xyz instead and searched for the gem there instead..and within a minute or so, bought it from someone else...for 1 fusing. It's also worth noting that if the first seller had been willing to negotiate at all and countered my offer with something like 2 fusing, I might have even paid that, knowing it was a bit more than the gem was worth, just to get the deal over with and not have to keep looking. But I'm certainly not going to get completely ripped off with his original price.

Also keep in mind, whatever prices you see on those sites are always going to be the ones that HAVEN'T sold yet. So those ones may well be overpriced.

I will agree though, that the buyer shouldn't actually send the invite unless they actually DO agree to pay the buyout(in the EXACT currency requested). Even then, probably better to message the seller first to confirm.
