People do realise that Daggers do more damage than 2Handers because of crit right?

All the dagger broohaha is because of ST.

You know that in 3 seconds the 500 dps weapon would do 1500 and the 400 dps would had done 1800 right?

Epic self-own btw.

Its called DPS, damage per SECOND for a reason.
So 400dps * 3 is 1200 not 1800...

if you meant flat damage than the inital 500/400dps was useless.
also 400*1,5 != 500

The example should have been 333,33 dam per 1,5spd vs 500 dam per 1 spd. (same dps but faster should be better most of the time due to obvious reasons)

How am I self owning myself? I'm using examples provided by other people, someone asked if you would choose a 500dps 1.0 attack speed weapon or a 400dps 1.5 attack speed. I knew exactly what he meant, 500 dps was a ghetto way of saying the weapon physical damage averaged around 500 and it attacks at 1.0 attack speed.

I was just pointing out the example was imbalanced because a 400 "dps" weapon attacking at 1.5 is obviously better then a 500 "dps" weapon that attacks at 50% less

what you do is add in 15% block for anybody wielding 2h weapons, same as dual wielding. done, lets move on now

that wont do it, it wont change the fact that the two handers have a much lower damage scaling potential.

all 2 handers need base weapon speed buff , so that they somewhat match one handers ,

that way the only real disadvantage 2 handers have is the lack of stats a shield gives and the block but can finally be better dps.

or they can add a weapon specific damage multiplier , ie any fixed damage sources from rings / ammys auras etc would be multiplied by a multiplier on a weapon.

example . that crappy 1.1 aps sword could have like a 30% damage multi on it,

but the faster sword at 1.25 aps could have a 20% damage multi on it.

Plus to everybody who still claims that the main issue is not the scaling of auras, but daggers themselves, look at mirrored ambushers. For low life users, wrath fang, which has 402 DPS and 78% spell damage, gives them higher DPS than loath bane, that has 550+ DPS.

you read reddit tonight Poutsos? RIP wrath fang?

One of the uniques the one that affected build variety most was Crown of Eyes. While we had foreseen it being strong, it turned out the power of the multiplicative bonuses it could unlock together was far too powerful. In 1.2.0, Crown of Eyes (including existing ones) will only affect increased and reduced spell damage. It does not benefit from multiplicative bonuses any more.

Spectral Throw has proven too good compared to bows and to melee. It's a skill we love and like to see used, but relative to bows it's beating them in ranged combat, and it's a very safe alternative to melee options.

We are looking at improving bow users in a few ways in 1.2.0. We're buffing skills, the bows themselves and passives.

Spectral Throw and some of the things that support it will be slightly nerfed. In contrast some past great melee skills will see a little love. (Yes, that includes cleave).

yay? I kind of feel like its a yay right?

I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

No,i actually had not seen this. It looks pretty cool. I am abit afraid on the whole "spectral throw and the things that support it", cause i wonder what that means, but all in all, it certainly looks like the adjustments are cool.

NOt sure about that whole thing about bows but low life windripper build has comparable clear speed to ST :)
i d rather have 2h weapons retain their attack speed but have more buffs to damage (slow but high impact). fast attack speeds are for 1h weapons (fast but "weak")

other than that they should introduce more benefit for 2h's

perhaps life leech works at 20% hp cap instead of 10%? or vaal pact is at 70% effectiveness using 2h?

its a god damn shame that 1h/dual wielders can be more damaging yet have higher survivability than 2h-ers

[Removed by Support]
How about some new 2h implicit mods?

3% life leech
5% bonus to strength
7% damage reflected

or 2h get 9 mods to compete with 12+2implicit from 1h+shield?

If you put on your full plate mail, and I throw hundreds of toothpicks at you, you'll basically not feel it.

If someone catapults a whole tree at you, don't expect the Armour to prevent as much of the damage.
