Diablo 3 is good, dont get me wrong. Even through the beta doesnt really show enough in my opinion of what it has to offer. PoE i think while from the looks of it could be trailing in the graphics/ animation department...has more of a gritty mature feel to it. Diablo has gotten kind of soft to appeal to a larger mass of people.

had been huge fan of diablo series when they came out, and long afterwards, but after seeing and trying d3 beta, I can say truthfully that that game has lost the total spirit and essence of what made the previous games great. It is no longer diablo in feel. The only thing that remains the same is the name, and deckard cain. All the rest has been replaced by happy time pastel colors , and lame shit that don't fit in to the dark atmosphere that diablo used to have.

Few examples to prove point... what were they thinking when making animations and who chose the art style? fuck me... this is terrible.

Diablo 3 will dominate any Action RPG. PoE will be the game I will play until D3 comes out.

I'm cautiously optimistic about D3...we will see!

I will play both, because D3 is most waited game for me, but now that I saw PoE I need to make some decisions what game I will play more :)

Yeah, there definitely are good points, why I should test/play D3 but that doesn't mean I'll like it or play it for much longer that I should. It's the curiosity that leads me testing (MMOR-)RPGs and I like to compare different styles, contents or ideas, especially skill trees and systems or the balance as well as the comunity or the development or progression of the game.

Can't say yet. Very happy with PoE but hard to make comparisons without having full access to both, and we'll be waiting a while for that!

My own feeling is that Blizzard has taken a direction I'm not happy with but this doesn't mean it won't be a great game.

Prefer to back PoE though because GGG are a much smaller company and without our support they aren't going anywhere.
