Diablo 3 Vs Path Of Exile

Is this game as fun as diablo II ? :)

Well the people that made wow is making diablo 3. The team that made d2 is no longer there. Most of the people who made d2 are the ones that made guildwars and are working on guildwars 2. I currently play d2 and guildwars and hopefully will also play this game. Atm I would rather play this game then play WoW, but poe and d3 are still different, but for me I like poe alot better then d3 after watching videos and reading about this game. D3 looks like wow because of the same people who are making it, so there spliting there team between 2 games, so it will take longer for d3 to ever come out.

No comment on the D3/WoW teams , since I don't care,
but the D3=WoW arguement is getting a bit old.

Several of Blizzard North (d2 team) made Hellgate ( Flagship Studios ) or created Castaway Entertainment (no productions to date), not GuildWars. The Blizz crew that did were from WoW, just FYI.

Path of Exile seems like how D3 should have been.
Once I get a beta key, I can compare the two, but from what I have seen so far, PoE is a much better game.

Main problem with D3, for me, is the simplified, childish skill system and horrible voice overs.

Well, I don't get how you can compare a slow, third-person, Everquest-like MMO to a fast paced hack n' slash action game.. with an isometric view.

Some obviously nearsighted fellow thought Blizzard = WoW = D3. And a larger part of the braindead userbase they have just repeat that until they start to believe it.

D3 is more like Dungeon Siege. That is not a compliment either, but a much more accurate description.

It certainly has nothing to do with D1 or D2. That much is correct. It is a simpler and slower game experience.

Also they are attempting to add humorous, childish elements. In both skills and voiceovers. In stark contrast to the two previous games, which was dark and gritty. With a scent of hopelessness and doom.

Kind of like PoE. Which seems like the true and worthy followup to the Diablo games. :)

for me path of exile have only better graphic than diablo 3, but diablo 3 will win in gameplay, skills

but last screens with 3 act scares me, this looks realy sux like torchligh, probably new diablo will be 100% difrent game like diablo 2 i just have a hope to spend soom cool time with friends and dont be disapionited when it comes

Can't tell much, but seeing videos, PoE looks more challenging than D3. Blizzard's determination to make gaming casual has ruined D3 before it's release. They made wow so easy, that 4 year old child would have absolutely no problem to get epic gear, but remembering vanilla, it actually took you a lot of balls to get where you wanted. Same with D3, while D2 was full of capabilities, they cut down on them, removing skill trees and making it way too easy.

dumb thread, D3 is way more addictive and will have more players and make way way more money, so sorry if that offends you but the truth is the truth.
