Oh oh, let me try.

I think Path of Exile is not hardcore enough. I think to make it more hardcore, the game should just randomly kill you with an Ultralisk spawn that immediately kills you the moment you see it. Even in Hardcore league.

I'm not making anyone do anything. GGG has the final say in this. I'm simply throwing suggestions out there.

elite, your not making things any better by insulting him. I'm trying my best here to get this thread on topic and intact but its insulting comments like this form all sides that are making things difficult.

Idea #1: To promote guild use, GGG should set a % say between 5%-8% for experience for those who join a guild. However, to keep it from being exploited, they also need to set a minimum member limit to keep players from starting a guild just to exploit the exp %.

I'll be going over a lot of other ideas, which I have readily available, in my head, such as a login tracking system so gms can keep track of who is active or not. Right now, I'm only interested in what people think and any ideas they have.

They will never do that, and no one would want that, this isnt a MMORPG to have those kind of features...

I truly value all opinions here if they are done in good taste, and are not mean. I would very much like this to be a place where GGG can study everyone's opinions and not a flamefest. If they do or don't consider my suggestion, I really don't care. It's them, not me. I really want to hear what you guys think, constructively. Please.

I fail to see how this thread can produce anything useful with or without my comments frankly.

I see what you mean, but I really do want to talk about guilds. Hmm, I think I'll just start my own, less ridiculous thread then, hope to see you there in a few

Please do that...some proper suggestions and ideas how on to improve the guild system would be helpful, not some ramblings about your job and degrees masked by "feedback"

well then good I will exercise my opinion and consider you a troll and not respond to you anymore because I have no time for trolls. Bye

"In the last couple of months, a few dozen users have started posting extremely negative hateful comments in threads, completely derailing them and either encouraging other users to personally attack them or jump on the vitriol bandwagon. We found situations where the current forum rules were causing the people defending our game to get probated, rather than the user who was just trying to stir trouble."

Um, what it seems to me is that you assume that things you say are correct, and ignore what he has to say, or assume that he is trolling/insulting you, because he is in disagreement with you.

I, personally, have to disagree too. People are different - some people need to meet new people all the time (extroverts) some people like to stay with people they know (introverts).

Introverts likes to keep their small friend pool, and usually they find ways to keep that pool for a long time - guild system being "half-baked" is nothing to worry about for them - they will find their ways.

Extroverts. Well. Forums and global chat. Nuff said.

People WILL find their way to spend time. As long as they don't assume other people are damaged, because they don't want to agree with you.

Guild system COULD be improved, but this kind of reasoning makes no sense.
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.
Okay I made a new, more on topic thread for all of those here who actually want to be productive about guilds.

Interaction with a computer is not social interaction. Even if there is somewhere also interacting with a computer somewhere else. It's antisocial to play games on the computer all day. Being in a guild will not prevent this. The only games in which guilds really work are games in which they are a means to an end. Games in which you need a guild/team/clan such as WoW / Eve online / other team based games.

I think you're kind of right, but the point of this thread might be more to discuss how if guilds are further developed (thinking guild battles, guild tournaments, etc..), then it would change the dynamics of the game somewhat towards the games you listed, but ideally not a full shift in that direction.

I'm not saying it would be ideal for everyone having to rely on joining a guild, but being part of one opening the doors to different game modes with guild battles/competitions would accommodate everyone , if solo people wanted to stay solo then they could continue with their races and stay out of it.
