Possibly one of the worst ways you can start a discussion, im just going to assume you got most of your knowledge about human behavior from wikipedia.

Handled that social interaction like a pro there dude, he had a reply to your thread that was contradictory to your view and you proceeded to hurt his feelings("bash" him) and accused him of trying to derail the thread, like that shit matters.

What you want is a better guild system, right? Ok, post what you want and what ideas you have to make it better.Talking about yourself, telling people about your pointless job and how long youve been doing it for doesnt help anyone.

Idea #1: To promote guild use, GGG should set a % say between 5%-8% for experience for those who join a guild. However, to keep it from being exploited, they also need to set a minimum member limit to keep players from starting a guild just to exploit the exp %.

I'll be going over a lot of other ideas, which I have readily available, in my head, such as a login tracking system so gms can keep track of who is active or not. Right now, I'm only interested in what people think and any ideas they have.

Fusion, I've had your back here, but alas, your on your own now. Your intentions were fine enough, but your presentation was simply awful. Nobody cares about your experience in social engineering or gaming or what have you, it simply is making your argument more ridiculous. Please stay on task and talk ONLY about guilds and how they need to be improved, not your intricate reasons for doing as such, it is taking away from the argument and as you can see there are plenty of people who will argue against it.

So, yes, guilds do need to be fixed, or updated, or what have you. For all those people who play PoE alone, THATS FINE, PoE can easily be played by yourself! Guilds are for those who wish to interact with people while in PoE, and should never be required to play the game.

And I'm not talking form any experience here. Hell, I'm probably one of the youngest players here at 17 :P. For all of you further posters, I would kindly ask you listen to the message about guilds and comment about that, and promptly ignore the social engineering rambling.

I'm trying to help. If you have a problem with it, that's you.

Any of those 12 year old basement dwellers playing PoE (such as myself) gain 5-8% LESS EXP. So you're FORCING people to join guilds.

Wow.

I'm not making anyone do anything. GGG has the final say in this. I'm simply throwing suggestions out there.

I'm not saying I have a problem with it! I'm saying that your derailing your own thread via you rambling about social engineering. You'll be more effective if you simply stop mentioning it. I'm giving you advice and all you do is insult.

Guilds should never be superior to non-guilds in PoE. They are meant to be an optional thing for those who want to hang out with others more in PoE. Imposing a penalty (and yes a bonus like that for a guild is a penalty for all of those not in a guild) like that is simply not the right thing to do.
