If the game were 'unplayable' due to desync, this site would be dead.
I get it: you're doing the hyperbole thing with that title, and saving the all-important qualifier for the actual post. Good way to attract attention, that. Unfortunately it sometimes means people respond to the topic title and not the post, in which you clarify that game ISN'T unplayable *unless* you like 'fast paced attacks'. So don't be surprised when people don't answer you seriously. As for 'fast paced attacks', that IS the devs' fault for not hard-capping attack and movement speed, because yes, those are two distinct causes/triggers for desync. That hasn't changed. And it likely won't. Ever. Seems your hard drive has some saved space. Take care! :) If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. Last edited by Foreverhappychan#4626 on Jun 8, 2014, 7:49:12 PM

Playability is relevant in most cases.
Some people consider the entire ARPG genre unplayable, some consider a game with "bad" graphics unplayable. I think it is entirely reasonable to consider a game with this level of desync "unplayable" for a significant number of people. Games are entirely recreational, people play them purely for enjoyment, flaws are magnified because of that. "just for try, for see and for know"
