*UPDATED (Potential fix discovered)* Bad FPS with AMD cards.
" I did the same, can't hurt to try. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

I have a 2gb 6950, it handles poe fine for me. I run on max settings, only get bad fps drops when someone uses a coc build. Only issue I have is if poe is up and I open a twitch stream in my second screen my video driver flips its shit and just crashes and recovers over and over again until I force the computer off. Doesn't happen with any other combination of games or web videos.

Something that never get mentioned is CPU power. Alot of new games rely on this alot more than they did in the past , The GPU dose not carry all the load the CPU is offten a bottel neck as well.
PoE seems to have problems with some set ups it's true , ironicaly we have had gamers complaining about FPS problems from low - high end set ups. Is it a problem with that set up or POE ? well both probley I killed a laptop playing PoE , not a low end 1 ether a very high end laptop with a good GPU , just heated the basdard up so much i melted it ;0= This could be something we start to see more offten as more crowd funding happens. Games have been running to the bottem of the barel of shit for years now dew to this the constant pressure on companys to launch games on concels as well as PC platform. cornors get cut and optimization gets changed so that the concel vertion can happen leaveing a game run and look like crap on PC dew to bad PC optimization , hell look at watch dogs . However we might see this changing a bit and companys going for higher spec req. dew to the fact that thare main income comes from community suport. Star citizen is doing just this ( we hope ) they are using the promis that thare game will mealt all but the most OP rigs as a SELLING POINT for the game. This is much more like the old days of gameing. In the old days of gameing when a new top of the cock game was launched .. u basicaly could not run it , no 1 could. offten u could not even get it to run at all and if u did u had all settings to the low of the low. Then u went and got more RAM or a new GPU or something and u got it to work right. I remember having to creat a sub start up in witch i diabeled windows , my sound card , and a bunch of other drivers that used memmory , then i had to launch the game from DOS with a special exe line that my neighbor made for me ( basicaly a hacked vertion of the EXE file witch forced the program to run no matter if it had the memmory req made or not) . All this to play SimCity 2000 I kind of hope these days come back and in other ways i fear it. Not all folk can aford gameing rigs they can get expensive depending on your taste also constantly fighting the teck curve becomes painfull. PoE could be the first game in a long line of games that have isues like we are seeing hear. Just a sec let me grab a beer...@#*@ Ok how did I die this time

I have an HD 7870 and the game at max settings doesn't run very well, especially in a group of 3 friends.

Fun fact - PoE actually runs well and pretty much the same on both Nvidia and AMD graphics cards.
HOWEVER, the game is very CPU dependant. Most people with problems on a shiny nice GPU tend to run it together with a potato for a CPU, and yes, pretty much all AMD processors are potatoes for gaming. " Not even GGG denies the performance and optimization issues that are independent of the platform, so why do you? Perhaps you should read the Deveoloper Manifesto posts so that your messages aren't so obviously disregard-able as whiteknighting? Last edited by Mivo#2486 on Jun 3, 2014, 6:53:20 PM

" Yep, game runs fine on hd4850, 5850 and gtx 760. That is not problem. Problem is my phenom 1090t. Going to upgrade to i5 soon anyway. |

Was originally going to OP about this, but what the hell.

" [arkham origins graphics] Pouring triangles into these surfaces can make them look subtly more realistic, but it’s also a cheap way to disadvantage a competitor. Deep performance inspection reveals that the R9 290X takes 30-40% more time in tessellation per frame than an equivalent Nvidia card. The first three scenes of the benchmark in Arkham Origins hammer tessellation. AMD’s driver allows us to manually define the tessellation level... [improving] performance in the first three scenes of the test by 11% from 134fps to 150fps. [Total test performance improves by 7%, from 148fps to 158fps] AMD attempted to provide Warner Bros. Montreal with code to improve Arkham Origins performance in tessellation, as well as to fix certain multi-GPU problems with the game. The studio turned down both. " VI |
