ATI have had problems with thare Low - Mid range cards for a long time. They just don't hold up vs the same Nivida cards. When u break into the top end card's it really just is a matter of the rest of the build , mother board , type of CPU ect. ATI is lagging behind in a few things but they are pretty close.
ATI cards seem to have alot of problems with some engins while they blow others out of the water. POE seems to be 1 of these games that ATI has problems with. Just a sec let me grab a beer...@#*@ Ok how did I die this time

I must admit, i run a radeon 7970 and i have problems playing on medium to high graphics. Although with everything that happens on screen id imagine that allot of medium to high end machines are in the same boat.

AMD Radeon R9 200 series here - I haven't had any issues with FPS - except whenever a Rogue Exile, Invasion Boss, or Strong Box - anything "new" that loads mid map - that shit desyncs me. Same with trying to move quickly like leap slam, viper strike, even potion chugging that can create desync.
I have never thought to attribute my in game desync issues with my video card though - is that possibly what is happening, OP... or are you making a distinction here FPS vs Desync? |

My system has a radeon 5750 in it. Runs flawlessly using double summoners, even doing Dominus. On occasion i get choppy, but if i reset a board, it goes away. I think that's more of a coding glitch.
Besides ambush boxes, i have very little hiccups since the optimization patch a while back. I think some of the radeon problems comes from the 3rd parties building cheaper cards. There comes a time thief when jewels cease to sparkle, gold loses it's luster, throne room becomes a prison, and all that's left is a father's love for his child. - King Osric

AMD R9 270X 2GB - Never had an issue - 110-130fps, but i use vsync so its at a constant 59-60.

Radeon user that loves the game, has tried every suggestion, yet cannot get acceptable fps in group play. It's a shame because it really is a great game. Next card will be an nvdia for sure, personally I am done with AMD/ATI video cards. Play solo from time to time, but it feels empty not being able to play the game as its designed (in groups).
