PoE vs Diablo 2 aka Your opinion on PoE

The way I see it:

Diablo 2 = Old, really skanky graphics

PoE: Really short. Repetitive, cliché classes and skills

Eh, maybe they are on a par.

D2 graphics were great for its time and you can now play it on any resolution with the right mod...PoE I am having a hard time seeing your comment being valid since there is end game maps and PvP.
If you think I care what you think, you need more of a life than I do.

Game is closer to Titan Quest than Diablo tbh. And TQ remains the best Arpg ever for now.

LMAO!

I dunno, parts of POE remind me of Titan quest.Thing is it's bits a pieces here and there so hard to say it's more like TQ or more like D2 but anyway an example the reserved mana, the scenery where there are parts where your looking down at enemies. Some of the Terrain. Some of the buildings especially in act 3.They even have pantless outfits.

Ummm ... yes? I've done it.

So you have EVERY combination of skill + support gem for every possible guild? Because that is exactly what you stated in your post ("you'll have everything you need").
Cool thing, just don't lie anymore please.

Why is this even an argument? Why would you even need every combination of every skill and support gem? No one in the world would ever play every single build. Do you plan on making hundreds or thousands of character to even make the combinations like you say worth something? I wouldn't believe you if you say so. I have a few interesting builds I'm trying to do something witch. I've learned personally that my favorite starting points are maruader templar and witch and plan on making builds around those just because to me they seem funner and more of what I wasn to try. I do want to mess around with ranger though.
Edit: Also, 'everything you need' You don't need every single gem and combination of skills because you're not doing that. By 'everything you need' I'm fairly certain he means for the specific character build you're going for.

POE is the greatest ARPG ever made not even D2 come close. POE got so much more depth then D2

This, pretty much.

This will be true once PoE is complete.
Although Diablo 2 was and still is a great game, I think PoE is up to par with it.. With time, especially how things are looking now, I think we can expect Path of Exile to continue to improve and become an increasingly more fun game to play with more things to do. Remember, it is "open beta." I wouldn't say PoE is inferior just yet when the game is not yet complete.

Before the skill synergies in D2 there might have only been a few viable builds for each class. And I can only think of maybe 4 builds for the druid, and that's stretching it. (Fury wolf/wind/aragheddon/and maybe fire claw bear?

Agreed. PoE is better than D2. Never thought that anything could beat D2...
Sorry OP this game is not for you. If you want to play a game where you look on the web for the most powerful build and copy that, PoE is not for you. If you want a game where you just faceroll through in one play, this game is not for you. If you want to only roll one toon, do everything with that one toon, basically play FotM build via respeccing into every roll/build possible, this game is not for you. Basically, this game is not for you.
First off this subject has been beat to death on the forums and online while playing POE. At this rate it will never stop haha. =P

Comparing POE to D2 is like comparing Street Fighter to Tekken. Yes they are the same genere but in the same sight they both have their followings and they say the same thing overall.

Some people prefer tekken over street fighter for the simplicity of casual play and other choose street fighter for the complicated combo setups, but overall tekken at high lvl can be just as complicated.

There really is no right answer IMO for the POE vs D2 they both have their brightsides and then they both have their negatives. Depending on the tye of player of course.

You guys that post these "I dont like this in the game" threads needs to be using the energy you all seem to possess posting these and use it to "test" the game you know? What betas are used for, and if your not seeing the change you want as time passes...

You need to leave and do something else and maybe comeback an give it another go after a significant update or just move on to something else..like back to D2 or whatever you believe is best.
