PoE vs Diablo 2 aka Your opinion on PoE

Back to topic, as others mentioned, D2 was great esp with LoD. When PoE is at that point, then you can compare. But right now it's not apples to apples, imo.


There are so many things people want/expect from this game. I feel bad for GGG as-well-as forum mods and in game mods. I take this game, flaws and all, and enjoy the good parts and realize it's still Beta and make sure the annoyances are known, if it hasn't already been posted. (Usually it has. ad infinitum)

I LOVED diablo 2 and I am enjoying PoE quite a bit.
Why compare 2 great games? Actually you didn't compare, you just said PoE is inferior...So yeah.

Because I do not enjoy playing PoE as I enjoyed playing Diablo 2, I even installed Diablo 2 again, and started to play to refresh my memory, and so far Diablo 2 is far more fun than PoE.

P.S.: And yes, I wanted to say that PoE is inferior, but PoE is got some potential, so I dont want to say anything bad about it roughly, just want to know what people like in PoE, and what in their opinion is better/worse than it is in Diablo 2.

You're basing a beta against a finished product that has been out for a VERY long time. I played D2 when it was first released and many years after, and that game was initially a HEAPING turd full of bugs. From lag issues to potions not working properly, it was either awesome or a giant ball of frustration.

Titan Quest was also a lot of fun, but the lack of online play (like PoE's server based) made it go stale fast. The story was definitely cool, though.. and so were some of the bosses. I remember a few very good moments from that game, and I also remember a LOT of repetition as well.

This game isn't Diablo 2, but I'm glad it's not. It's like waiting for the next band to be "better than Queen, but just like it" and that's simply not going to happen. It's time for someone else to take a chance at the throne because it's been long overdue.. So far I think they've done an exceptional job, really.

If PoE won't be better than Diablo 2, or equal to it, then I will prefer Diablo 2, Diablo 2 is still on the throne.

P.S.: Titan quest is a piece of crap that isn't worth my time, Titan quest is absolutely nothing comparing to PoE, even diablo 3 is better than titan quest.

I got 3 hardcore characters, died once, then deleted that character. This game is only playable on hardcore, see no point to play default. And I want to say that Diablo 2 is fun even not on hardcore, because you are losing items on death(if you are unable to get em back), and gameplay is fun. Even hardcore is not bringing amount of fun that I need to this game. Just not fun, and difficulty doesn't mean a shit, mostly. I will say it again, PoE is NOT FUN as it is RIGHT NOW.

I just hope this game will be greatly changed till release.

You must have never played real games. May be you are young. But old days games were fun, and there were no f2p and DLCs. You just bought the game and had fun, it was a full game and it provided a complete experience, so you actually could have fun. Now its all about money, games were art, now they are just money making machines.
