PoE vs Diablo 2 aka Your opinion on PoE

This is my first post and i'm sorry to say this:
"Don't feed the troll" A good critic would include something which can be change for the better of PoE. A troll post is just throw something in the middle and see how ppl fight against each other. All who love POE make post where you say what could be better and discuss this with ppl who also want to make the game better and argue on gamemechanics of poe. Towards the rest of the posts with any comparsion of any other game ... just ignore ... Or to make it short :) poe don't need ppl who fight for poe. Poe needs ppl which play the game . Have fun and decide for yourself how much it is worth (looking at the microtransaction). |

After playing PoE, I wouldn't play Diablo 2 even if you gave me money and massage my legs for 15 years.
Why do people still look at Diablo 2 and compare it with PoE? FFA Loot = ninja fest = lots of swearing

PoE is on par with Diablo 2 for me. There is enough customization and character building with progression to make this the first solid ARPG since D2 released imo. I feel D2 has more going for it with depth of itemization than POE does, but POE has a better skill system with the passive tree and skill/support gems. And the itemization system of POE has a solid enough foundation right now that it could be expanded to the level of intricacy Diablo 2 has in the future.
POE also has the advantage of being a fully 3D game. Honestly I am so grateful for this game after the dumbed down and sold out disappointment that Diablo 3 turned out to be. I play POE to D2's soundtrack, so that takes care of the music of Diablo 2 elevating that game so well :) No offence to the composer for POE, the music is nice, but the score for Diablo 2 is basically the best game soundtrack of all time, rivalled only maybe his work on the music for Burning Crusade. Does D2 have more content than PoE? I really don't know since I never played D2 for too long. I just heard you can run through normal difficulty in about 2 hours, that's why I'm asking.

I haven't played Diablo, but I can't imagine it being better than PoE.

This game is very similar to D2. It is also the best game I have played and if GGG were a super big company with lots of resources PoE would be much better than any other ARPG due to getting the servers and combat at higher level. They should put a prize for this game I am sure a lot of people will buy it.

You can only set own resolution via fan patch = unable to play via Battle.net without a ban of your cd key 2. ONLY works with patch 1.12, the whole 1.13-patch series doesn't work 3. Higher resolution != graphics scale with resolution. They are sprites, you can't just go and double them if you double the resolution. Looks like controlling an ant 4. Not sure if it works with Glidewrapper and/or Pluggy Did you even played D2 with custom resolutions? Doubt so ......... Make

d2 was a great game of its time no doubt.
BUT besides what ever patches it or fans have made over the past what ever years the game came out 4 acts. act 4 was a joke it was tiny. yearish later xpack came out with act 5 and 2 more classes. act 5 was pretty nice but was not out for over a year later from launch of d2. each class had 3 trees. so how u could get 5 builds out of each class is saying changing a gem is changing a build in POE thus meaning poe has by far more "builds" then d2. d2 was also about dungeons with 4 lvls. so imagine each dungeon in poe if u had to go through 4 lvls to get to the boss? ya game would be much longer. there is alot of good and bad about d2 and for its time it was great, but it should not be dug up now as its not as good as poe even at this moment. and for anyone to lazy to trade for a gem they want look up what class gets it as a quest reward derp. i hope this game gets alot more refined and much more content as its already an amazing game Death From Above!!!
