WTF?! Found a fishing rod
|
Oh lord, has GGG messed up the loot tables again?
Last time this happened it was an in joke within the GGG offices that made it to the live server. "Minions of your minions are your minion's minions, not your minions." - Mark

" That is complete BS. And what's this nonsense about eternals? Next level trolling. | |
" Know what's not BS? People were saying this stuff about tricornes since before the first verified fishing rod was ever posted (in terms of rods with correct art, that was me btw in the Albino Rhoa feather thread, I was doing all the stuff to boost chances of getting a rod drop, and I ended up finding one before anyone else), and now even you yourself admit you were wearing one when you found your rod. It's been known for a long time that the tricorne is essential and that (apart from in Coward's Trail maps) rods can't drop without them, but there are a lot of things you can do to boost the chances, and eternalling the tricorne is one of them. |

@MonstaMunch
Do you have any proof supporting these theories? Last edited by ibex#4133 on May 31, 2014, 1:34:04 AM

" Yeah, notice how I already knew what helm you were wearing? PM anyone who found rods and ask them, they were either in coward's trail, or wearing a tricorne, and those who found them first were doing what I said. Specifically Varanice followed all the steps, and found 2 rods in 2 days (on separate leagues, as rods can't drop twice for the same account on the same league). Also notice how I was the only one doing all this stuff, and I was first to find and post a verified rod. Varanice was one of the only people with faith, and he was one of the next to find one. These claims can be verified mid way down this page and over the couple of pages following it. Afaik the main things that boost the chances are: - Eternalling the tricorne (though the tricorne must be worn no matter what, unless in coward's trail) - Running 3 circles around the waypoint after entering a new instance - Typing #Jabberjawsyoloswag in global chat at the start of each new instance - Carrying a stack of feathers as you farm I've read rumors of other things that are said to boost chances of getting a rod to drop, but none of the other things have been verified by any known credible fishermen, so I'd just stick to that list if I were you. If you found one just by wearing the tricorne then it's fair to say you got very, very lucky. <3 Last edited by MonstaMunch#6519 on May 31, 2014, 3:02:38 AM

I figured playing on my birthday would help to produce a fishing rod. Thanks for nothing, Chris. :(

I don t understand all those talking about fairgraves and imprints.
The Rod is a RARE drop, there is no need of imprint or hat or stupid chat typing. Just farm the dam act 2 norm or any area higher than level 16 and pray rng is rng to drop it for you. Proof: this dropped, no fairgrave, no imprint, no jibbyjabbswag thing in chat. Just me alone killing merveil with 50-300 mf. I wonder how many fishing rods get lost every day because they're either white or blue.
Who knows? Maybe I technically farmed one... but if it blurred in with all the other nonsense, I might not have noticed it. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

" You're lying. Either you were wearing the tricorne, or someone in your party was. If you honestly think you found a tricorne in Merveil's lair without the person who made the killing blow wearing a tricorne, then report it to support as a bug. Srs. |
