WTF?! Found a fishing rod

i think the rod s gonna find you... once a human gameplayer... i think it is just rng based no vodoo and nothing inside... maybe there are some script files in the ggpk file?

i searched some stuff, and i never could find any threats were is anything veryfied, like wearing the 3corme or other helmets

why do you all think, its so much voodoooo behind dis? the one is wining that another player is a lier, and dis dude fires back... buummm... mental iiilnessss...

Having said that, getting to the Cow Level in Diablo 1 was not easy.

The basic steps:

1) Start a new character - make SURE the fountain is yellow, so you have the right quest later on.

2)Do not talk to any characters but Gillian

3) Click on Gillian until she gives you the "My Grandmother had a dream.." speech.

4)Now head into the Cathedral. Do NOT click on the dead body.

5)Kill all the monsters on the first level, then descend down to kill the Butcher.

6)The Butcher must be killed bare handed. (See tips below for this)

7)When the Butcher dies, he may drop a Helm of Sprits.
(if he doesn't you'll need to repeat steps 1-6)

8)If he drops the helm, do not go down to the third level but go back up and click on each cow once in the correct order.

The order will very for your particular game. The most common order is 213 (about half the time), with 312 and 132 the next most common, where the cows are:

1 Bessie, 2 Daisy and 3 Buttercup.

If you can't tell which cow is which don't worry too much, just remember the pattern you clicked on them, in case you have to repeat it.

9) Go talk to Gillian. If you clicked on the cows in the right order, she will continue her speech, saying "In grandmother's dream a brave hero came to save our land.."

10)Now talk to Johnathan Griswold and instead of asking "What kin I do for ye?" He will say "Old Wive's tales!" and then open the usual buying screen.

11) Go over and talk to Adria, and she will say "There was a ring of Old Wive's Tales."

12) Head back down to the second level and do the poisoned water quest (look for the candles near the crack in the wall). Once you have cleared the area beyond, return to town.

13)Talk to Cain, who will say, "I found a remarkable thing in the fountain when the water cleared, would you like to see it?" He will present you with the Bramble ring. Do NOT identify it.

14) Go talk to Gillian again. She will say, "You found grandmother's ring!"

15) Do not leave Gillian, it will take a minute or so for the quest to load (if you are still using a CD, you will hear it spin up)

16)Gillian will then say, "If you'll excuse my language, Grandmother said it will be a cold day in Hell before her ring turned up. You will need something to protect you against that cold." Gillian will give you a robe of some sort. (The first time I got the quest, she gave me a Robe of Vim).

17) Equip the robe and fight your way down to Diablo. Do NOT talk to Adria at any time.

18)When you kill Diablo, a dark violet portal will open and Adria will step forth from it. Adria will cast a spell that causes the floor to turn bluish white as everything begans to freeze over. Adria will then say, "The time has come for purity to face corruption" (see footnote below)," and then she will go back into the Dark Portal and it will vanish.

19)Take a portal back to town. Head over to the pasture.
Your character will say, "How now, three brown cows?" but the cows will look the same.

20) Click on them in the correct order (if you are patient and very near the right one, it will sometimes moo without you clicking on it). The usual order is Elsie, Clover, Clarabelle, but sometimes it is reversed.

If you get it right, an an angry black cow will appear in the center of the other three cows.

21) NOW, identify the ring that Cain found in the fountain. It will say "Bossy's Nose Ring".

22)Equip the ring and click on Bossy (The angry black cow). She will belch flames and sprout wings and quickly fly off towards the Cathedral.

23) Began walking over towards Gillian and you will see Bossy fly into the crevasse that is usually the short cut to Hell. The crevasse will turn an icy blue. Do NOT go down the crevasse yet.

24) Talk to Gillian once more, she will say, "You're going to need this," and give you a handbasket.

25) Put the handbasket on your head like a helmet, make sure you are wearing the robe that Gillian gave you and head down the Icy Crevasse.

You should see something like this while the Cow Level is loading.




25)Your character will say, "That's one BIG cow patty." The ground will begin to shake and you will see exactly why your character says that line. I won't spoil it for anyone, but it's definitely worth all the trouble.

I did mention that you can't die at any time didn't I?

Note 1 - Killing the Butcher without a weapon is tough, but doable. You can use spells, but not a stave with spells on it, and/or try to get your dexterity as high as possible with items.

Note 2 - The line Adria udders is exactly the same thing she uses to tempt young Tobias Wirt to go down into the dungeon to face the Butcher (see the pre-Diablo 2 lore "What Really Happened to Wirt for more info)

It isn't really known yet, just how this one differs compared to an eternalled imprint in regards to the regular fishing requirements.

The biggest question facing brave anglers right now is whether a correctly Vorbed one with three white sockets grants the ability to catch unique fish when the SotS is also equipped.

If it's discovered to be true, then a Tri-Chromed Tricorne would be the most valuable item on PoE.
