Why is the economy on this game broken and how to solve it

I wish the games economy wasn't balanced around our drops and crafts.

That doesn't even make sense.

GGG already stated they have a hardcore focus on trading in this game - they control and monitor the economies - there is no doubt in my mind, or anyone sane, that our drops/crafts are significantly undercut by GGG to force our hands to trade.

So again:

I wish that my drops and crafts were not balanced around the economics of this game.

I don't overprice either. People want to buy everything for 10C, if the item is 20c they say they can't afford it. I have been 3 days in a row online and all the answers I get is that they are broke.

If you have a price and NO ONE will pay it, that is the definition of overpriced.
The economy is not broken and you are wrong.

Maybe you should try lowering your prices.

i think poe has the best economies of any game I have ever played, the most stable, the most accessible, and the most requiring of game knowledge and skills to get far ahead in.

To this note, I agree 100%. I also love the fact it offers 3 different ways to obtain items to satisfy all types of players (even if they aren't attributed to the task they want).

Orbs = Gamble; Flat out gambling in hopes to strike it rich. The exception here is currency that only adds quality.

Farming/Grinding = Random Chances; No real currency investment needed, relying 100% on RNGesus and all his gifting glory to supply you with loot.

Trade = Guaranteed Results; The most controversial mechanic in PoE is also the most reliable. Love it or hate it, this method supplies you with exactly what you pay for.

Orbs = Gamble
Approximate chance to make currency : 0.00000000000000001%

Farming/Grinding = Random Chances
This is basically playing the game. With some time you will or not (RNG you know) find something good/sellable.

Trade = Guaranteed Results
The only way to make currency in this game.

Anyone saying otheriwse is just lying to you.
Keep in mind that orbs are not meant to be used at all (exception for maps).

By the way, fuck the fusings system. QQ post 100% confirmed.

=.= Pls ignore my old threads (more than 1 month ago) =.=

Well. All my items are priced always lower then their counterparts in YXZ, so I think they are competitive enough to accept the price as is. If people lowball even more is because they are really broke. Otherwise of the ten times on two days I got contacted, at least 1 would sell.

If someone really needs an item they will buy it, regardless of the 10 extra or less chaos it is selling for. People is really fucking broke bro. I am not the first one doing the observation.

i don't know if i qualify as broke, but i don't have a lot of chaos to be sure. lot's of other people are in the same situation too.

why is this so hard to believe ?

even using the 2 chaos recipe and getting a decent drop everyonce in a while does not give you a lot.

i play more than i should. a problem i'm thinking about fixing. i look hard for deals. i grind.

i have 12 chaos and 1 ex in the stash.

so exactly how much should i spend on a single ring or a shield ?

not very much.

and yes, my build is somewhat broken because of it.

what i've notice in playing ambush is that it's much, much better to focus on 1 toon so you can devote all resources to it. i started a second toon because i got a buildable unique, and i'm really beginning to regret it.

1st: I checked your shop and it seems you don't set buyouts. Not having buyouts is basically inviting buyers to lowball.
2nd: I checked 1st unique you're trying to sell outside of your shop. 5l Solaris Lorica, you're asking 5ex. I saw at least 3 or 4 for 3ex in your league. How is that not overpricing?

D3 is this way: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

I've made it quite clear that at this time I am playing the better game: D3

Paragon 140+ now - still playing about 1-3 hours average per day since xpac release and having quite a lot of fun still in it.

GGG should take some notes and fundamentals from the game concerning crafting and drops. Both aspects are incredibly fun in D3. Oh and non RNG gated "post story mode" content that is engaging and fun to play.

So much for those "D3 will only be enjoyed for 1 week max" predictions.

Those predictions fit me and many others perfectly :) D3 is boring as fuck after you've seen all the shinies Blizzard used to distract you from the fact that the game is still as dumb an shallow as it was before.

You can't balance crafting and drops around self found play if you have trading in your game, I thought this is common sense but not to you I guess x)
