Would anyone be against selling chaos orbs on GGG's shop? (For convenience)
" You can see it as (let's say) 10 $ for a chance at getting a good roll. But you can also look at it like this: Best roll possible for 10-X $. “Demons run when a good man goes to war"

" Are you serious? Ok let's say there are 10 chaoses @ 10 dollars. One player purchases 1000 chaos orbs. You're saying that that players will not have ANY advantage in reaching for example Piety first, farming her first, obtaining gear first and thus having an advantage over the other players? are you drunk? The sell of any crafting orb is totally gamebreaking, specially in 4 moths leagues where everyone is supposed to start equally poor. If one starts with 1000 chaos orbs, how can't he be advantaged over others??? EDIT: please don't suggest "cmon let the orb sells start @2 months of the league" Also, you know that you're defending what the RMT sites are already doing right? why RMT is so hated then and the idea to of having a GGG orb shop is not? they share the EXACT SAME LOGIC Last edited by Mahesys#6567 on May 8, 2014, 11:03:20 AM

" Yes i know, that's why i stated i don't stand behind this concept, but i understand the message behind it. Two different things. " Point of thread <-----------------------------------------------------------------> Mahesys And why do you assume i stand behind the idea, when i stated several times that i do not, but i do understand the logic behind it. Like i just told sneakypaws. These are two different things. One is capable of understanding a point without standing behind it you know? L2comprehend? *Yes you pay to win - because u paid until you got your perfect weapon rolls so u will have advantage at killing mobs, u will lvl up faster, get items faster and finally WIN faster.
And you only had to pay, then win by using the equipment with the rolls u just bought. while im still farming chaos to 'craft' my fucking weapon because i didnt pay shit. ...................................................₪₪╔═══════════════════════╗₪₪ ░▒▓██████▓▓▓▓▓▒▒▒▒▒▒░░░░░▀▄▀ⓡ ⓔ ⓑ ⓔ ⓛ ●๋ ⓔ ⓧ ⓘ ⓛ ⓔ▀▄▀░░░░░▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▓▓▓▓██████▓▒░ ...................................................₪₪╚═══════════════════════╝₪₪ Last edited by Kandamo#7923 on May 8, 2014, 11:15:44 AM

" A statement like this is based around the assumption 5000000000000000000000000000000000 chaos rolls will yield a guaranteed positive result. There is nothing to back up such a statement. The opposite is equally true, such is the nature of RNG. @Worldbreaker : funny graph :D!, is that your personal opinion on the mater :p? I believe there are 2 things OP was targeting. One is the convenience of stash tabs as time savers, and the actual usage of chaos orbs.
Stash tabs and this suggestion of selling chaos orbs can in fact be really balanced, depending on the price of them. How much time do stash tabs save over a 30h playtime period? How much chaos orbs drop on average in that saved time by stash tabs? Proceed with the pricing. But, the price would be too high, only the real Richie Rich fans would buy more than ~100 chaos orbs. |

" my statement needs no back up, wtf.. but how can u back up your statement? 5000000000000 chaos orbs needed to get perfect roll? duh. how u know the chance of a chaos orb to produce the perfect roll? ...................................................₪₪╔═══════════════════════╗₪₪ ░▒▓██████▓▓▓▓▓▒▒▒▒▒▒░░░░░▀▄▀ⓡ ⓔ ⓑ ⓔ ⓛ ●๋ ⓔ ⓧ ⓘ ⓛ ⓔ▀▄▀░░░░░▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▓▓▓▓██████▓▒░ ...................................................₪₪╚═══════════════════════╝₪₪ Last edited by Kandamo#7923 on May 8, 2014, 11:31:14 AM

Updated with technical graph data using a mathmatical algorithm stolen from NASA drawn using a top secret program from the United States Department of Defense
![]() 10/10, would bang. " You, Sir, have no idea what you're talking about. (Lessons in maths/probability calculation needed I suppose). NOTHING is guaranteed. Well, except for this thread being useless, maybe. Sigh. With finite rolls you have finite chance for getting what you want. 5000000000000000000000000000000000 rolls would probably be around 99,999999999% chance of rolling great shit. Enough? That is the whole point - the more you spend, the higher chance of getting good shit you get. And this is why giving these chances for money IS p2w. Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. | |
" Not really, it's pay convenience. Since you will need a tremendous amount of time to sort out the good items from the bad ones it can also be called pay to lose time. Also if you don't learn about the game => Good mods/ mods targeted for a specific build..etc you would not win. " Only if you spent time getting high ilvl items. So yeah paying for chaos orbs is not enough to win. Also even if you got perfect items after spending millions of €s (Great deal of GGG, we all want success for GGG right): one, now you need to find how to use that item. Two, with what other items?. three, with what build? Conclusion: Do you win PoE if you bay Chaos orbs? " Put who draws the red line? Why don't you move that line freely forward/backwards?
