No gender selection?!

LMAO Read some of the About Page, THIS IS NOT AN MMO, and they specifically noted they hate being refered to as one LOL!!!

Anyhoo gender selection ok but not needed, same with hairdo's. (We are caked in the blood of zombies for pete sake, and dont forget that monster slaying hairstyle of choice is "helmethair"). but about the whole gender thing: hate to burst your bubble but most female chars in games (esp WOW) are played by dudes (hope nobody got romanticly involved there). Set class-gender is old-school and thats how we like it =). This is 'Role-Playing' by the way not 'MY-LIFE' playing. Who cares if you are a dude or not, we are all just having some fun, and it is idiotic to refuse to play a class because its not the 'right' gender...holy hell! The class will play the same with boobs or not, and how is anything being all male better anyway? yeesh. I for one like having the option of a powerful woman/female kickin butt and taking names. *comes to* whew, what happened there, sorry about the rant!

After reading some post in this thread I can just add my opinion as a suggestion (for future updates or for a release) - I'd prefer the possibility of gender selection instead of fixed gender.

I don't see how it matters.
Even in Diablo 2 on battle.net ,all people cared about was how much oblivion you can unleash,nobody cared about the gender... at least in my experience.

gender selection WOULD be a nice addition however.

Gender selection is nice to have, but probably one of the last things on my wish list. And I certainly wouldn't like to have an option to select every skin you liked. It's nice to know where people started on the passive skill tree.

I agree with Chris;
I have melee based characters doing spells and using bows. The classes mean nothing other than starting point. You make of them what YOU want to.

This isn't Diablo 3 where a Demon Hunter can only be a Demon Hunter, or a Barbarian can only be a Barbarian.

Make your characters are you like. I play the ranger and the marauder and never cared if I could choose a gender, but i'm easy to please.

Here, there is not a single male ranged class!

Please tell me more about it... I am super interested to what you define as range coz i certainly saw a bow templar, a wand marauder (Build 8). I just do not understand what you meant by range. Since i am so stupid enlighten me please.

Not sure if it's been said already, but I'm all for gender selection as long as it's not a cash shop only option.

I understand that it is indeed a non-gameplay affecting cosmetic choice, but there's a fine line in the sand there IMO.
