What does it have to do with not being able to do hardcore ?
Why do you even need power level or grind 8h+ a day ? What stops you from playing the same way in soft and hardcore ?

Why do even care about what people from HC says about SC ?
Really if you have don't have time to play, you should enjoy your little time on the game rather than listening to non-sense.

THAT is what I wanted to say :-)

Why is it a necessity that the best players have to play hardcore? Why couldn't the best clicker and most intelligent person in the world be extremely unambitious and just wants to watch some nice graphics and pewpew a bit?

Why is that not possible in your mind? There is no logical argument for your way of thinking. It is just a delusion because you cannot handle the fact that you might not be as tough as you think you are.

Not with: You hurr durr, me cool! That, my friend is cave-men speak.

why would they? why can't you answer that? Why would a hardcore gamer, extremely skilled at games, that makes every other hardcore player look like a joke, play the easiest mode possible of a hardcore ARPG?

people who play games at that level are not going to play the easy mode, you just don't understand that because you're a standardcore hero.

people who spend the time to become that good at video games want to be challenged, it's that simple.

Because he likes to have different builds not necessarily all defensive ones ? Because he doesn't want to loose his favourite char to a lag spike ? Because he doesn't care what the rest thinks and would rather have fun and go on even after a death (which can happen even if you're a good player...)

Because it might stress them.

Because they do not like to lose things.

Because they want to be a glass cannon for a change.

Because they have a bad rig and internet connection and do not want to die to desync or disconnects.

Because they have unskilled friends that rather play softcore.

Because they want to play effieicently to make as much currency as they can, which is faster in softcore.

Because they like to drink beer while playing and they die drunk.

Need more?

P.S.: I have played actual hardcore games, where you actually lose a char when you die. With all he owns. Where you do not takes 3 days to level back up, but half a year. I have lost characters that I spent almost a year raising by accidentally drowning myself in a virtual river.
You don't know me...

You're playing the easiest version of a hardcore game filled with ARPG veterans, expect to be insulted.

There is absolutely no objective scale that can measure better or worse by seeing what league you play in.

Dumbest thing I've heard all day, one gives you permanent death, one does not. One makes you permanently lose items, one does not. Of course there is an objective way to measure the quality of a players' skill based on which league they are playing, if someone were good enough to play on the harder leagues, they would be doing so.

That's the funniest post I've read all day.

Everybody dies at some point in invasion. Everyone. It's only a question of how long you last before it happens. People with those pesky things called real jobs don't have the time to play 16 hours a day. Then you got players like Terrex who played standard but climbed the shit out of the invasion ladder before he ripped at #2. Then went back to standard because he found invasion boring. The previous #1 and #3 invasion guys took off their gear and ripped their characters at docks.

Some people play games to have fun and to challenge themselves, not because they worry that a bunch of adolescent teenagers think they are "hardcore."

The important question is, why on earth would that kind player feel the compelling need to insult other players based on a percieved hierarchal difference?

Lick up and spit down - do they learn manners from politicians and corporate thugs?
You won't get no glory on that side of the hole.

Getting to a high position in a new league is not hard, don't even kid yourself.

And I also doubt that he quit invasion because he found standard to be so much more fun

umm i think it was pretty obvious what he was trying to say?that he has many more personal commitments outside of the game and hence cannot play and practice as long as you probably could to be more adept for hardcore

And wanted to say that this is simply nonsense. Like him I have many more personal commitments outside of the games I Play. Playing HC simply hasnt anything to do with the time you can invest. At least in my opinion.

lets assume i can only play 10hours a week.it is unquestionable that softcore offers more build options and diversity than hardcore, and most standard builds are arguable more glass cannon than hardcore.faster clearing speed+more people to trade with=greater accumulation of wealth.

if i had limited time to play constantly wouldnt i want to make the most out of it and accumulate more currency to gear myself out faster?and it can be argued that HC is more exciting because you're more alert, but the same can also be said for SC because it offers you to play at a generally faster pace and take more dps nodes instead of life/armor nodes

Heh, apparently so ^^

@Brelm, gogo I presented you a list there. Want counter arguments one by one.
What has any of this to do with softcore vs hardcore really?

Sure, most of the hardcore guys take any chance they get to brag about playing hardcore, but why dont you ignore them? Why would you care about their opinion of you in the first place?

That seems very childish for me, for a man, mid age with family.

If its any consolidation for you, Invasion players on this forum lately tell *each other* that they are not made out for Invasion.

Bottom line, ignore them. Players that pat themselves on the back for playing hardcore, instead of just playing hardcore are not a valid judge of character.

(and why you would care, is still beyond me)
