Invasion players - no need to bash Standard Players
" no this is the dumbest thing we have heard. there is no perma death in this game......PERIOD END OF STORY. You lose absolutely NOTHING by dying in the so called HARDCORE LEAGUES If there was PERMA DEATH you would lose character and all items including what is stored in stash. But you dont lose character, it just goes to different league. And you keep all items and currency In the HARDCORE league that were in your STASH. How is this HARDCORE. Lol. There are people playing in Invasion who don't care what league other people play in; it's just that they also don't care enough to give out textual pats-on-the-back to people from other leagues.

I see repeatedly the notion thrown out for fact that this game requires skill. I find this laughable that the so called hardcore arpg elite think this. Mechanically this game is akin to stapling paper. Having played starcraft for the past 14 years there is no comparison in terms of skill required to play that game vs this one. It's not even about time and I'm very much in OPs situation. It's really just preference. I have nothing to prove in a game that requires no skills. Long live scrubcore!

But if I don't bash them, how will they know that I'm parkour and they're cashews?

Oh who gives a bloody damn. Do what you find enjoyable. Leagues are just another playstyle, in a way its like playing a build. Nobody is really going to bash a person for playing any one type of build (excluding block builds, MFs, summoners, RF's, Totem users...You know what, you people are some hateful bastards)

" " The only difference between forums or the internet in general and speaking to somebody is that they can't punch you in the face... some seem to exploit that circumstance. PoE is a hobby and a forum is just a different method of communication. Why shouldn't you care? It is the same situation if go with your amateur baseball team to the diner and meet a profi-player there calling you not real baseball players, because you aren't getting paid for it. It is a very similar situation and yet people accept that thats annoying. |

" Gratz on your great life and achievement, sadly this is the pathofexile forum and not the reallife forum, so to all the slight appeal to authority in your OP I can only say this: ![]() Nonetheless I think many people don't realize that a lot of sc players lure out abusive comments. Something I learned in uni in psychology class (yes some of us are doing pretty well irl too, it's just that we are half your age, myself being 24) is that in an abusive relationship, the abuser (which is often the male) is rarely 100% at fault. I won't elaborate further on this because I don't want to derail the topic and cause a shitstorm on such a sensitive subject, so lets look at a real PoE example of this: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/820539 Now I want you to read that opening post and tell me what's going to happen next. That's right, you guessed it, not only can pretty much every hc-player 1up the OP (which is something people here love to do in general), but they can even sneak in some elitism. OP really makes it too easy. Want to stop getting abused by HC players? Here's what NOT to do: 1. Do not complain about dying and losing XP. Ever. 2. If you feel the need to post your 120%-maximum-life-and-rips-instantly-to-reflect-build in one of the class subforums, add a [SOFTCORE] tag so HC people don't come in and (rightfully) point out that the build is absolutely atrocious for hardcore leagues which then turns into a shitstorm 3. If you accomplish something in softcore, but died during it, you are going to receive hateful remarks. The accomplishment may be legitimately and objectively impressive and awesome - doesn't matter, people are still going to give you shit for it. Take ambush' first Atziri kill which I thought was really, really impressive, plenty of comments were along the lines of 'ye if you just throw yourself at the content plenty of times you'll eventually get past it'. Beyond league.

I find it funny that they moderate you-know-what-core, but not alt-f4 core or similar insults towards hardcore leagues. Nice double standards.

hardcore players who brag out loud probably the biggest losers in their real life.
