I feel bad ripping off the newbies...

Actually, this is how a barter economy works. If you want to engage in it, research or get burned.
Either way, you will learn. My first ever magic the gathering trade was my serra angel for their craw wurm. My first deck was green. I needed the firepower. To this day I do not regret that trade, but I wouldn't personally let it happen to another. Note I said personally. It's just me. My way. If yours is to allow people to overpay, hey, maybe they really need that craw wurm. The Exile is self serving and in this game pretty much for the power. To some that means making friends and allies, and to others it means taking whatever you can. Neither is wrong, not on Wraeclast. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. |

" Are you freaking serious? Rofl more analogies describing real life scamming = ripping on some noobs in a game While I'm at it I'll make an analogy too. That apple is orange = That orange is orange |

seems legit.
But still....lolz, it's just how people like me work - we try to give folks a fair deal. I know it's not supposed to be wrong, but.....you know? a lot of us think differently. I know it's a barter econo, and it's the thing to do, but in the end it is a matter of choice anyway. Good point though Charan. 1337 21gn17ur3

If he felt it was worth 4gcp, no problem with that.
Like Charan said, it's his own fault for not knowing the "real value". |

If you felt so bad, you wouldn't do it. Not that I care, rip them off all you want.

" You act like you're so righteous and such over a game. Hey, someone looted my exalted and camped over it so i couldn't get it do I give a fuck? Yes, but I learn off it. These noobs wanna give me 4 gcps for a stupid lightning arrow gem? I'd try to make them sweeten the deal for me. Learn to trade. |

Ripping off someone is never a good thing - especially newbies. I never trade unless I really need something. If someone is being a dick trying to rip me off, I tell him that I don't need that item THAT bad. Then usually I find it a little bit later. The law of karma is something you should be aware of....

" Never understood why so many of today's gamers separate how one acts in a game with real life. In the past, most gained fame by not only how well they played the game. But also how well they were APPRECIATED in the community. Now days many of you think there is a side game to every game. One where you compete at being intolerable d-bags. Not for any real gain. Just for the attention it gives you. I mean somehow you think that NEGATIVE ATTENTION is even better for being known as a decent person. When the reality is BEING A GOOD PERSON, actually translates well in in a video game. Funny, just using a term like "noobs" actually speaks volumes about a player. One of these days perhaps some of you will come to realize that seeking negative attention doesn't actually make you cool. It just makes you look bad. |

I just love reading forum posts like this, it reminds me of how human society has really gone down the shitter.
