I feel bad ripping off the newbies...

GCP, redbeak, "a chaos", divine orb (I have some orbs, but I don't think I've seen that one)

Sure fellow community member. I'll explain.

Let's say an alchemy has a value of 1. Well a chaos has a value of 2. A GCP has a value of 6.

I was trading an item worth 1. I would have accepted 1 as a trade but someone offered me 20. I accepted the trade. Now I'm a bad person. Never trade with Sarlaiel because he is at least admitting what he did was wrong and out of character. Trade with others who are too ashamed to tell the truth.

Yes, but the point is you "know" what the value is and are willing to trade it for something of possibly "lower value." The issue here is that new ppl, who don't know values at all, are being shat on by the more experienced ppl - who DO know better.

My, my I REALLY hope this community doesn't degrade down to the level of the WoW peeps... Because some of you are starting to act like it and put a really putrid taste in this community's mouth...

Personally, I know some stuff if worth more than others and don't really care one way or the other. If I need something, I'll make an offer, if they take it, ok, and if not, then I can wait - world won't come to an end :)

Stop shitting on the new players. Just because you were beta testers doesn't give you the right to be assholes - unless you're assholes to begin with then that's a different story...

Values aren't set in this game though, it varies based on person. Sure you can set values based on the possible drop rates in accordance with currencies. Such as the ratio of Chromatics to Alchs. But actual items/gems/etc - This is something that could possibly help their character tremendously or just a little bit. It's all subjective.

But they do it to themselves. I'm honestly not a greedy person, but when someone offers you 4 GCP and a chaos for a 0% quality lightning strike, what am I suppose to do? I had another newbie give me a 5L for a chaos which I flipped in 1 hour for an exalted. Help me PoE community. Help me help them.

You're a jerk.

..OR, new players are lazy as fuck and can't be arsed to do a little research beforehand, resulting in them getting burned.

Honestly, I've pointed out many bad trades in chat, whispering people about how they're about to make a big mistake. At some point or another, it becomes frustrating, and people who take advantage of oblivious players should not be blamed. I'm not sure if I have ever ripped off somebody, because I usually low-ball my offers, but hey, if there's people who wanna make a profit, let them.

This IS Wraeclast after all.
Would anybody like some... POUNDCAKE?
