Is POE doing enough to counter the D3 ROS hype?

You only see RoS hype if you are looking for it.

I will happily fork over 50 bucks a month to POE the very milisecond they ensure better crafting ratios and drop rates... and a better solo based end game. Be that in some type of self found permanent league or even in regular leagues somehow relaxing ratios.

I didn't read through all pages of this thread, but I'm probably in the minority here. I will most likely be going back to D3 once the expansion comes out. If a self found league comes out here with the mini expansion I'll stick around, I seriously doubt this though so probably going to call it quits.

This is a fairly recent decision after getting more and more frustrated with this game, and seeing changes in ROS on streams and youtube from people who are in the beta. I like a lot of the things they are doing with ROS. I will miss the passive tree and builds here, but I guess you can't have everything.

I'm a veteran of the game aka 3 level 100 paragons up in that bitch but if you've been keeping contact with their forums and such; There not doing very well even the MVP's don't even like it very much.

I'm not impressed either the fact they kinda removed their direction of the game when they first previewed it is even more annoying and the whole no life steal thing is fucking stupid, You have limited healing depended on the class of course and well the prime source of heals is health globes which drop at X percent on X boss or well a few mobs which is not diablo -.- but whatever.

The nerfs and constant nerfs are a breaking point as well hell you really should read their forums It's filled with agony and despair. I'm probably not even going to try it I got to get ready for Dark souls 2 lol

I just hope the corp big pigs note that a team of about 30 people in New Zealand put together a game that has so much more potential than Bliz came up with.

But it's true. D3 Console does make for a nice holiday from PoE on PC. It's just so brazenly simple and stupid and fun. It's sort of like that happy-go-lucky friend who smiles despite everything and you can't help but love them a little bit for it. You know their life is shit but they don't, so who cares? Shinies!

But before long most people are yearning for someone who engages them on a higher level than 'look! shinies!'

And if you're not, good for you. :)

I play both and I don't find one game better than the other. when I want to grind I play PoE, when I want mindless, colorful ,streamlined combat I play d3.
