The most overused strawman on these forums: "RNG is RNG"
" That's one of the sexiest false dichotomies I've seen in a while. Kudos to you good sir. Also, RNG is RNG (I believe that is an obligatory reminder in every post in this topic) The 352nd character to hit Level 100 in Standard
The 82nd character to hit Delve 1000 in Standard |

" That GGG can, and should, do nothing to address issues that arise from your sense of entitlement is a reality. At least you had the stones to admit you feel entitled to anything in a game that was given to you for free, that you are not forced to play, that promises nothing aside from being able to use skills to kill monsters, and that only cost you time and/or money if YOU CHOOSE to "invest" it. "Nothing to show for it"? Bullshit. I categorically call "Bullshit" on you. Unless you can somehow run those high maps that aren't giving you anything while equipped only with the 5L Lioneye that you say you have, which we all know you can't. So, either you have good gear/passive/skill/support optimization or you don't, you can't get to your level of content without it, unless you were carried. Your gear may not be "perfect" or even "optimal", but I am pretty sure it is "good". Any gear you have that may not be "good" for your level can likely be upgraded for very little expense, as even incremental increases can make a difference in the late game. Your arguments are QQ, based on your experiences, shaped by your expectations. How all of this subjectivity is the responsibility of GGG, in any way, is totally beyond me. |

How about lets do it this way...
What does "RNG is RNG" mean to you Xav? Tackle? Others who use it? Be specific.
Spoiler
Betting they don't even know what it means and just picked up on a catchy coolkid saying flavor of the month.

" What's the wager? How about 1 exalt? GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" Be careful, such wagers would be considered to be RMT. This message was delivered by GGG defence force.

So no then. You can't add more to the discussion than "RNG is RNG" - without really knowing what it means.
Interesting. |

" What? You do realize this is pretty simple stuff right. Who wants to waste precious seconds explain what everyone already knows so you can cherry pick a phrase to take out of context so you can put people down? I mean that is you agenda here right? You can't possibly be so arrogant to think people don't know what it means. |

The numbers of times i have seen RNG is RNG used right is like nothing compared to the times i've seen it used neglectively and out of context, posted by people considering it the omnipotent "autowin"-argument that also explains how it's never the game that has problems but always the player.
So judging from that, one could argue that the vast majority has a distorted view of when RNG is RNG applies, even if they may be able to pass a simple test of saying what it means to them they still cannot use it right. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all. Last edited by Crackmonster#7709 on Jan 31, 2014, 12:43:45 PM

" Term is Term is my way to say something is working as intended, for ex: Life is life if life makes characters more durable/tanky or however you wanna call it. however there are some false positives like ES is Life. To make Es is ES it would require a difference between both. For example ES is 10times higher than life but depletes if surrounded by too many mobs OR Es is lower than life but prevents ailments from happening. But NOT Es is life with the same function of getting depleted on hit. The details are left out most of the time. Simple. Beeing specific is something i deem unnecessary because its just too timeconsuming for others to read all of the crap between statements. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drDs-Y5DNH8 Last edited by Lachdanan#4036 on Jan 31, 2014, 12:45:12 PM

" I though you were one of the guys that said RNG made the game harder? Ah well, maybe it was someone else...? |
