I thought so. The phrase isn't used enough around here, and I think people need to know that RNG is RNG.
The 352nd character to hit Level 100 in Standard
The 82nd character to hit Delve 1000 in Standard

if you wanna propose the removal of RNG you might wanna look at golden sun. Set drops suck and are too easy even if it looks like a good reward the first few times.

Suggesting something goes from X% to Y% does not mean removal of RNG.

Or...

a more accurate saying is: shitty drop/craft rates are shitty drop/craft rates.

I mean: lets at least be honest about the truth, ya?

I probably wouldn't have an issue if you presented it truthfully instead of trying to hide behind some little "factoid" that isn't really honest.

RNG may be RNG, but GGG has control of every last drop rate, the percentage of probability for a mod to show up when crafting, fusing to succeed, etc. etc. There's not an equal chance for everything to happen in this game, and things are buffed or nerfed behind the scenes and we're never any wiser about it.

So every complaint about RNG is pretty valid, as that RNG is working on the parameters that GGG specifies.

All I know is that running a chiseled high level map and getting nothing or a 66 in return, over and over again, is just not good or rewarding gameplay. It's just a waste of my time.

All I know is that every time I see this argument I wonder if the map produced no EXP or item drops of any kind. Since EXP and drops of some kind are the only two things that are guaranteed to be available in maps, not having them would be a problem, and a worthwhile complaint. Not getting what you expected to get (or felt you were entitled to) is not a valid complaint, whining about it is pure QQ.

"RNG is RNG" and other versions similar is the most spammed strawman on these forums.

Whenever there is criticism about anything be it drop rates, fusing functionality or whatnot, some of the standard forum whiteknights will come and proudly state "RNG is RNG", or "It is just RNG, deal with it.", etc.

The vast majority of these things are completely useless replies.

They assume and then attack that posters are simply mad at RNG, and does not address the essence of the topics.

They are used as dismissive statements, but they can almost always be ignored as irrelevant, and the poster can be laughed at as ignorant.

When you find a better weapon then your current one or whatever but you need to resocket relink it , thats pure suffering and 6links should be printable like crafts are.

print a damn 6link on those tittays yey

2 alts, a fusing and 1-2% experience, which is all lost with a desync death or an overtuned Exile that two-shots me while everything else in the game is a faceroll.

730 or so hours in the game... 8 hours a day for the past three months... and nothing to show for it but a 5L Lioneye's.

I think I'm pretty entitled, as is everyone else in my position. The forums are an unhappy place for a reason.
Imo, maybe 5% of the people who say RNG is RNG etc truly believe it and are fine with it. Other 95% are your typical bandwagoners and generally people who can't form an original thought but feel a need to intrude upon a discussion without adding anything of substance.
