:D i laughed tbh. OP has got a sense of humor :p.
Now make a drawing for him, he showed you his now show him yours...

@op i know you don't mean anything bad with presenting your point of view, sadly these forums are not inhabited by people that can co-exist with multiple points of view :p.

I've made the same thread like you, just to warn people to not get confused by this term and not be disappointed by there own assumptions, i was also bashed for mentioning that :').

But to be honest threads like this should be repeated once in a while :), just so new comers know in this game the "hardcore" stands for time investment and not player-related reflexes etc. It's only fair to warn them from disappointment if they expect something difference.

Sadly the economy depends on scamming "noobs" out of there wealth, so you will not get a lot of sympathy for doing this.

Peace

I was talking about people that donated for supporter packs and ask for a refund when they quit.

I know what you meant. But supporting a game is not the same as buying a game, therefore -----

Yup, that's why I said they are wrong they say they actually buy something and ask to have their money back, when in fact, they did buy nothing at all.

I haven't really seen people saying directly "I'm a xxx supporter, so my opinion is most valuable than yours". What I however often see is :

- People with no forum titles that bitch about supporters (I've read things like "omg is it going to be the first time I'll agree with a supporter ?"), as if the opinion of someone depends of those titles. It's more like they actually imagine that those supporters think their opinion is better just because of those titles. Just like the softcore/hardcore thing. And people can hide their forum titles anyway, so...

- People with forum titles whining about the game and that forget they donated to the game. 2 good examples : 1/ "I paid good money for the game, so I'm entitled to make this point and this point which I consider important and GGG better consider them too, because I paid". 2/ "I quit this dumpster game and I want a refund".

I haven't really seen people saying directly "I'm a xxx supporter, so my opinion is most valuable than yours"

Thats your experience from the forums and i respect that, im just telling you what my experience is from the forums. It was especially rampant right after PoE came out from closed beta and into open beta, it has faded alot now but thats probably because of the influx of newer players from steam and the likes.

I CAN agree with you with the 2 points you brought up with the people with no forum titles complaining about people with forum titles and puts every supporter into one category= Every supporter thinks that they are above the ones which havent supported the game with money.

And the point where supporters complain about everything in the game and thinks that they are entitled to a game which is tailored to their beliefs of what poe should be like, JUST because they supported it.

I can come across as agressive at first and i should have probably worded my threadstart better, maybe its because english is not my native language since im from Sweden or its probably because thats how i usually act.

GGG calls this game hardcore because you have to invest a lot of time to max out your characters in terms of level and gear. Feel free to make up your own definition of hardcore.

P.S.: What's with all the freeloaders lately shitting on people who supported the game?
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Lol, I love watching the newest "rhetoric" that spews on this forum.

Recently within the last month or so everyone has been complaining about drop rates (which has been going on for a while) but this time they used the term "carrot on a stick".

Now I see lots of people slamming supporter calling us wallet warriors.

Hive mind is an interesting thing to observe. Oh by the way, you are not hardcore OP.

But seriously, someone had it right when they said video games in general are not hardcore. Go brag about your PC playing skills at your workplace, see how much recognition you get.

I do get alot of recognition from my workplace since i work within IT. I'm also impressed when likeminded people post something that is considered hardcore in a game and im not afraid to say it.

It sounds to me that your just jealous

Gambling to level is the right term.

EDIT: Oh you forgot to call me a wallet warrior,

also please give me a lecture about how REAL ARPGs have a good concept of carrot on a stick or something of that nature. Got to stay true to the flavor of the month rhetoric.
