How can GGG support PoE in the long run ?

point stands, GGG is following that model which has been proved to work.

If they make an option to have real death on hardcore (and not shit-softcore downgrade just for me to re-enter a game and del the char), i'm willing to spend a few bucks on it xD

More seriously, all kind of real goodies would also be nice, like the t-shirts which were in the CB for exemple.

Some titles on the forum i think would also be a good idea, like the CB "silver / gold / diamond supporter" for ex. It would encourage ppl to support the game with some visible things.

Honestly I wish the game just had a regular price, so that the dev team could spend all their time on improving gameplay/adding expansions (for purchase) so that they dont need to spend lots of time making infinite iterations of new cosmetic spell effects..

They sell boosts to IP and they sell champions that are often very strong and required to stay competitive for real money. IP is used to buy runes, so getting twice as much IP means you get twice as many runes as someone who doesn't pay.

And since they stopped making champions for less than 6300 IP, you have to really, really grind a shitload of time to get one champion. Staying competitive is very hard if you don't grind a lot.

A regular price alone is not enough to sustain the game because its an online game. It may not be a MMORPG, but it runs like one. So they need either microtransaction or monthly subscription to pay for the server cost and any other cost in keeping the game running.

If GGG really wants people to support them its simple really. ADD MORE PAYMENTS OPTIONS.

In my opinion any F2P game that only has credit card or paypal payment options are just asking for a quick death. There are many people these days that do not use credit cards, especially in the current economy state. Having multiple payment options, the best example for me being LOTRO will really boost the amount of sales you will be getting. FIX THIS first if you guys really want more revenue.

It's simple math really. More people can give you their money, more profit you guys will make.

I would like to see full character respecs for sale for $5-10. I know it's not part of their design philosophy but people would be willing to fork it up - people get attached to characters and don't always want to reroll. Price is high enough too to not encourage constant respeccing.

I will donate to GGG 'cause I love them ::- D.

Also, you forget that they will add more options in the shop: we will be able to pay to create new monsters in game and, I think, new Unique maps as well. This is awesome.

It will survive period. It's the only game I have ever been more then willing to drop a ton of money on a supporter pack payment plan. If i had the cash I would of just started throwing at my screen then.

Hell it's near impossible to get me to spend 60 on a new game usually i wait for sales on steam etc. Not this game I kept throwing money at my screen.

Though I really love their notion of having nothing but cosmetic micro transactions,
I really think that they will be earning much more if they stuck to how they marketed kiwi packs in CB.
As much as i want this game to be NON pay2win, i want to see the the game grow and prosper.

Here are some of my ideas i can think of, stuff that i would really want to pay for rather than those one-off dance animations or colourful hats.

1. Pay a token sum for the following acts to come?
2. Pets come with additional storage? (pets are UTTERLY useless in game now)
3. Skins! pay for alternate sex of each class
4. Pay to create a clan/ guild

GGG pls consider. haha
