How can GGG support PoE in the long run ?

1. Pay a token sum for the following acts to come?
2. Pets come with additional storage? (pets are UTTERLY useless in game now)
3. Skins! pay for alternate sex of each class
4. Pay to create a clan/ guild

Points 1 & 2 would be a kind of P2W, so won´t be able.

Points 3 & 4 okay, would pay for a male ranger, or a male witchmaster!

Let´s wait and see what options will come in the future, but it´s clear that I will pay for further support! :-)

They already sell storage, and it's more convenience/QoL than P2W. Storage space doesn't give you any mechanical advantage.
yeah, i kind of WANT to throw my money at GGG, but so far nothing has really been that enticing so far.

If Pets had 2 slots only able to hold wisdom and portal scrolls, i dont think that would be too OP, and would make them a bit more useful AND give you more of a connection.

As much as they dont want to make pets P2W, they should consider adding SOME utility to them. Either the 2 scroll slots like i mentioned before, or maybe have them fetch a white item every now and then and drop it at your feet. Not that you would even need the item, but it woul dfeel like they are doing something.
The possibilities for adding non-p2w microtransactions in the shop are literally endless. I'm not worried at all.

Do you think you run into a risk where players end up completely going the free-to-play route and they don’t pay into the game?

Well, that’s true of any free-to-play game. 95% of your players will never pay a dime, and that’s okay. The thing is, is that you get a lot more players, so that’s totally fine. And the other thing is as well, our company is like—because we’re in New Zealand and we’re small and we don’t have a big publisher—we don’t actually need as much money as like a lot of… [developers] to fund ourselves. The total development cost of the game is not nearly as high as the other huge titles

They can't even support the relative small number of beta players. I'm getting tired of all the lag, disconnects and downtimes of free2play online games. Pretty disappointed now.

It would be interesting, how much one server costs per month and how many players it can run smoothly.

A nice thing would be to have some kind of "premium" servers that can just be accessed with a monthly fee, I'm sure a lot of players would pay to have constant decent gaming experience. I think I would ;)

Keep in mind that servers have been getting DDOSd during the weekend.
I like the direction the micro-transactions have taken.

Although I haven't purchased any cosmetic effects yet, I'm sure that I will in the future... especially when they add more skill effect swaps.
