In my opinion this bug/glitch is affecting the economy and should result in bans. Guild Wars 2 people were banned for buying items from the vendor for karma, which wasn't a bug, it was an oversight. People were banned for using an in game feature.

We had a dupe bug here a while ago which caused people to be rolled back.

We had a vendor recipe that was easily abused to achieve a 6L with 0 cost, caused a character to be renamed and a rollback.

This is along those lines, even the people doing it know it isn't right yet they are still doing it. These guys are flying through map content like butter, able to stack a shit ton of magic find and loot at least 3 to 4 times faster than any top tier build. Now people in other leagues are abusing it, and the abusers get rich quick, and get to keep it? Yeah, fuck that.

At least hotfix cast on death to not add bonus damage for the time being...

Doesnt matter now it has been abused for way over a month so it's honestly way to late for that.

They should just fix it at the summoner patch so everyone has a equal chance of being OP until then.

It all just boils downs to GGG not testing enough and being way to slow to pickup on it when people are abusing it.

I hope they learned their lesson from this and hopefully they will word it out to us so we know that looking for bugs to abuse should not be the first option in a league. Or at least setup some rules because obviously when you can clear maps 2-3 times as fast as the fastest spec out there it's a serious liability for the league and for everyone who wanted a fair race.

Will never happen. They allow alpha insider information

(Edit: although fair short-term races are possible, but 4 month nope)

Show me a 4 month race an Alpha won... oh we haven't?

Stop spewing that bullshit.
He means an alpha member leaks information to a non alpha. that non alpha uses that information to gain a fair advantage.

Until then anyone can go from lvl 1 to 90 in what? 3 days? Skill, gear? Fuck that? Go grab 1 spectre and watch everything die

Fairness is not about who wins, it is about who has an advantage they shouldn't have.

That only amplifies the magnitude, it is enough that they have advantageous insider informtion that rest of the playing field doesn't to be considered "unfair". It was specially obvious at the start of the Nemesis/domination leagues when several people had the skill tree significantly before the general population had.

Of course, some streamers were kind enough to share the information, but they didn't have to, they were under no obligation to be "nice". And everyone didn't see the streamer information either.

Slightly curious as to what kind of info you people think we get and how long you think we have it for. The advantage you're talking about doesn't exist and hasn't since the release of Act 3. If there was an advantage and someone was seen to be exploiting it instead of reporting it, I'm fairly sure they would be booted from Alpha.

Like I mentioned a long time ago, League of Legends manages to deal with the "Alpha" information in a very good way to keep a fair competitive scene: they allow people to post all changes done in Alpha.

And yes everyone knows that everything that is in Alpha doesn't need to carry over to the real version, but at least everyone is on an even foot that way.
(Yes the beta servers in LoL are not called "alpha servers", I know)

Major LoL fansites such as reignofgaming and surrenderat20 keep updates.
