So all the 'whiners' on the forums are...

Wait people in here are saying that if you play a game too long you get bored of it? I thought video games are like diamonds and meant to last forever.

First off, I find it very...um..uh..I wont even use a word for it - I find it HILARIOUS that someone would ridicule another player for having a lot of play time, and not having a support title. For one, you can have supported money by buying microtransactions and not having a support pack. But even if you didn't, who gives a shit? IT's a fucking free to play game for that reason.

Also, speaking about what you think can improve the game is not a bad thing. If you sit there and just kiss ass all day and say everything's perfect than how will it ever fuckin improve? Also when 100's of people (not even counting the thousands in game who don't post on the forums that agree) continue to post and "complain" about a certain game issue, that continues to get overlooked by the dev's is not a good sign.

Most of you are confused about what's "whining" and what's "complaining" and what's constructive CRITICISM.

Well drop rates for example, is something that people have bitched about since the very infancy of online games with rpg elements and to this day still do.

Nearly every game like this has ridiculously low drop rates, not because there is some mass conspiracy by devs, but because we haven't figured out how to genetically engineer monkey slaves to create video games for us with infinite content, so they have to compensate with a difficulty/time curve that gets damn near vertical in the endgame.

What if, God forbid, I wanted to make a SECOND character?! I don't mean another piece of shit char with inferior gear that I end up having to turn into yet another boring IIR runner. I'm saying that if 2h weapons go up to 900 dps then why is 460 the best found for me in over 3k hours? Why can't a 500 dps weapon drop every 3k hours? In retrospect, 500 dps is fucking nothing when 900 exists. Vs 3k+ hours, and I have found half of a weapon's potential...lol what?

In D2 we all had a stash full of duped runes. Did we worry about economies, stocks, bonds, and char retirement? Nope! We made more chars! Badass chars that smashed shit. Then we made more again. Is it that bad if I find a full Sigon's Set by level 40(when I can actually use the shit), or is it better for the economy that I find nothing for 2 difficulties and then 500 worthless uniques in row in 70+ maps? Why do you care if I find a better weapon and put it on my Scion? I'm not going to ruin your game experience with it.

Personally, I don't give a shit about economies. I don't care what you found. It doesn't bother me if you found 10 Kaom's in a row last night. The mentality of "someone somewhere found something some time, so now you should be having fun" is silly.

A million times this. I don't understand what the obsession is with maintaining a game economy. D2 didn't have one, and to this day people benchmark this genre by D2. Look at the hoops Blizz has been jumping through, both in Vanilla and with RoS to preserve a game economy. Then look at the bloody hits the franchise and its fans took for it. I don't think it's worth it. Nor do I think it's working.

d2 had an economy whether you like it or not. Many people bitched about drop rate back then too.

Also if you played one char for 3000 hours and the best weapon you could get is kaoms primacy then you seriously have to question whether the problem is the game or yourself......

Where did I ever say the best weapon I had is a Kaom's Primacy? It's true that no matter what, someone will bitch. The problem here is that the majority is bitching and the playerbase has shrunk drastically since release, which are 2 big problems.

I am not a white knight for this game, I am not even actively playing it atm. My point is that people who bitch about drops are typically ignorant to the way online mmo's with rpg elements work. Go play cod or some other game with no rng based play if you don't like it.
