The obvious micro transaction cash grab?
I don't like the tone of the OP, but I already posted that thought in a "nicer" way in another thread.
It didn't strike me as a cash grab (though I can see how someone could see it that way) but I think it will discourage "impulsive" buys. What I mean is, someone wants a $50 points item, they are much more likely to look at the price of 5$ and buy it, than look at the price of getting 96 points for $10 and buy it and be left with not enough points to by somthing else. Weather you think its a cash grab (I dont) or not.. i just think more money would be made from prices that were straight $1=10 points up to a higher amount ($50?), and then give bonus points for spending more. " One effect per item, so if you dual wield you'll need to buy 2 effects. Could have a different effect on each... |

" From what I understand, no. You'd have to buy two of the same effect, but I'm not 100% sure on this one. I do know that weapon effects are now 'permanent' -- buy once, always in your mtx stash for usage. But I think you can only use each one once at a time...does that make sense? Sort of like a switch. Once it's on for one weapon, it can't be used for any other, but the switch is free to 'turn off'. This is different to the original plan, where you'd have to pay to switch it off. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

First Post Eva,
OP Please don't play this game. I beg you to go spend $60 on the D3 expansion when it comes out and go away.... Thank You. |

Most of the people who are complaining didn't even play the game. You didn't pay shit for the game and you are complaining. Go play D3 or some shit like that.

I'll just post this again because people seem to conveniently ignore it.
They did it to compensate for the lower profit margins on the smaller packs. Yes, GGG is trying to make a profit. BOOOOOOOO. Sigh. Maybe they should've made this a retail release. Would anybody like some... POUNDCAKE?

And Yes, Complaining about something that has absolutely zero effect on game play and that is not required in the least is sad. especially when it amounts to as little as five dollars.

" This. Also, I think the tone of OP is what made people defensive-the dev's have been very good to us, and they aren't trying to screw us (I don't think). They have to make money to keep making content, though. |
