The obvious micro transaction cash grab?

The way I see it is, if I am paying a sub I will shell out more than $5 a month (depending on the game) and not be able to change anything. For the same amount (and sometimes less) I can put money into this and change the things I want to change.

The vanity pets are reasonably priced. Want something really fancy? Then it'll cost you. The only prices I find confusing are the weapon effects, but I am assuming that the price relates to the complexity of the effect in game, which is why some are so much more than others.

I am looking forward to seeing alternate skins. I am assuming they will be pricier than what's on offer now, though.

As pointed out, they're trying to encourage people to buy larger packs. More likely than not this has to with any and all fees on their end when handling money - think of why Riot also does this with RP. They make less off of smaller packs compared to the larger ones - margin of profit and all that.

And if anybody calls them out on that, welcome to how the world works. Companies are there to make money. At the very least, I'd say GGG deserves the money we give them.
Would anybody like some... POUNDCAKE?

I'll agree it is pretty annoying as a customer to see companies price like that. Being 4-5 points shy of getting something you want because of the way the bundles are structured is frustrating and poorly thought out. What makes it worse is that they are going to act like the $20 is a better value because you're getting more points. When in reality, you're just getting the F2P standard of $1:10pts. Offer BONUS points to encourage customers to spend more, don't punish them for not spending as much. For shame GGG. Leave the crappy pricing to EA and Zynga :P

I'm just as happy for this game to be out as anyone, but poor pricing is poor pricing. Half of the replies are "deal with it bro". Either come up with a relevant response or don't bother posting.

These aren't microtransactions at all.

I could go buy one thing from the cash shop or i could buy about 5 games from steam

I looked at the prices and I declared to myself that I won't be buying anything from the cash shop with these prices

If weapon glows were maybe 5 bucks? sure i might buy ONE, 10? no way in hell

No one in here has said 1 thing thats innapropriate so calling people names over this is just silly.

That said, I have to agree that there prices under 20$ are pretty shady considering they are intentionally keeping you from getting an easy 50 cash shop points for most of the items. Its like selling an item in the store for 5.01 and the guy has 5$ and you wont sell them there item. ITS BAD BUSINESS. FACT.
Love this game. It turned me into a fan of ARPG's. Thx GGG. You're GGGrrreeeaaaat!
I guess they should just make it 40/90 points for 5$/10$...

GGG needs to earn money to continue development. I'm fine with the prices and glad to support GGG.

One thing you whingers seem to forget is that all of the microtransactions are OPTIONAL.

Don't like it, don't buy it but quit crying all over the forums like fucking child.

The prices are for the most part fair & the other stuff can be viewed as prestigious. Welcome to the real world.

I don't have any problem with them just putting the points at 50 for $5 and 100 for $10. Why must they take away 4 points to simply force you into buying more? It is optional yes, but you don't have the option of buying the exact number of points for an item. I fail to understand why people would want to buy $5 more points when they shouldn't have to if they were just given the 4 more points.

Something almost EVERYBODY misses in this thread is that's it's not about prices but about the odd practice of not offering "decimally clear cut" GGG coin packs.

All things in the Shop cost some multiple of ten points. It would only be logical to therefore offer coin packages of multiples of ten. Otherwise you'll always end up with 'just that bit' too little or too much balance.
