How can you, Grinding Gear Games, in good faith, attempt to squeeze your customers of every penny.
Now, for $10, you only get 96 points instead of 100. For $5, 46! So you will be only 4 points away from a 50 point or 100 point item, and you are then forced to purchase a minimum of $5 more for being just $.40 cents away?
It is hard to defend this cash grab completely designed for you to pay more while being so close. Yes, it is a free to play game and they need to make money, but that does not mean that GGG should be able to get away with their blatant scheme. I just hope this is a bug and they are going to fix it.
Edit: (Previous reply)
I don't have any problem with them just putting the points at 50 for $5 and 100 for $10. Why must they take away 4 points to simply force you into buying more? It is optional yes, but you don't have the option of buying the exact number of points for an item. I fail to understand why people would want to buy $5 more points when they shouldn't have to if they were just given the 4 more points.

The $5,10,20 package should be 50,100,200 points, and everything after that should be higher points per dollar package. That way you don't feel like you are losing anything for buying lower packages, you are just gaining points for buying higher. Divisible by 10 would be better as well.
$5 - 50
$10 - 100
$20 - 200
$50 - 520
$100 - 1070
$250 - 2850
I doubt they'll see much of a difference anyway, but at least the costumer only feels like they got something more for paying more, and didn't lose anything for paying less.
You want to reward customers for spending a lot, but you don't want to punish those who are only comfortable spending little.
Edit: removed some hostility
Your forgetting that the original system had cheaper prices for the cosmetic item because they were one time use with item that could retrieve them. Perhaps the prices for point would make more sense in that system. You should blame the whiners that couldn't see the upsides of the original system.

GGG might adjust the cost and prices if enough feedback is given. They do listen and don't stick there hands in there ears.. Just give it some time I'm sure Chris and team are working there ass off right now..
Once again this stuff isn't vital to playing the game..
Yeah I know it's not as important as other things, but, marketing kinda failed here IMO.
They could've made a killing if they announced ~1 week before the price change that it was happening.

Some folks and their ungrateful ways continue to boggle my mind. I spend 3 months a year doing work in 3rd world countries and it continues to amaze me the sense of entitlement kids have here. Let alone for a free product. FREE.
Anyways, I am done posting. My point is being made by many more than just myself. Goodnight, see you all in Wraeclast!

It doesn't matter if the shop items are purely cosmetic. The pricing indicates GGG is trying to compel players who are on the fence to pay more when they instead should be sending the message that small, incremental payments acceptable. The decision isn't as ethical as it could be and many of us hold GGG to a higher standard.

Everything is perfect not a clue why anyone is complaining imo prices are fine, cash shop is just fine.
People find anything to complain about if they charged one coin per item people would still complain about it being a cash grab or pay to win.
Simple fact some people are never happy unless they are complaining about something, and then you have the ones that feel F2P should be completely free with nothing to buy just a free game ran at the companies expensive for charity.

Why do you feel entitled to say other people are entitled? I'd just like GGG to be more open about what they're doing. Like I've said multiple times, they could've made a lot more money if they told us that the price change was coming ahead of time. Then people would stock up on the cheaper version of the points/coins/whatever they're called.

Lol, people crack me up. Has anyone noticed none of the people complaining have any supporter avatars? Cheap bastards. GGG is by far the most ethical developer I have dealt with in my 20 plus years gaming. They deserve their 5 bucks for 46 points. Uninstall and play something else.
Edit: if I was Chris, I would lower it to 40 points just for the ungrateful responses to a COMPLETELY FREE FULL LENGTH GAME. All purchasable items are cosmetic.
You do understand that in order for this game to be alive and kicking developers must convince players to regularly buy and spend points. If the majority of users decides to play for free and forgets about cosmetic stuff, then PoE won't last long.

Sorta confused here... It's not like your paying for levels or maps..
All this stuff is purely cosmetic..
None of it gives advantage to the game.. So what's the issue here?
All your doing is supporting the company keep the lights on..
The issue is that you have to buy two 46-point packs to get a 50-point item.
A more ethical way of pricing would have been in 50-point denominations.
Like I said earlier, 50 points for $6 would have been more ethical than 46 points for $5...

I honestly don't think they'll respond. Since they're copying Riot Games they'll just sweep it under the rug.
