Why do people continue to say cash-shop is "cosmetic only"?

You pay for convenience, not effectiveness. Stash tabs cost almost nothing anyway, 30 coins.
If you get absolutely tired of having 5 mules, then just fork out the few bucks to grab some convenient stats tabs. This game is free to play, that means not only do you not pay a monthly fee, but you pay nothing for the game client itself. How do you expect GGG to make a cent aside from Supporter Packs without having some desirable stuff in the MTS. AMD FX 8350 4.0 Mhz OC@ 4.8 Mhz

There is however, one tiny change: The regret is no longer worth a chaos orb, or the alch has just become higher than a chaos. As you probably know, or not otherwise, the price of an alch is now a regret orb.
TL;DR: The regret has just been devalued. Or the alch is more expensive than a chaos now. 1337 21gn17ur3

" TL;DR Stash tabs are not an issue because you both use the same character inventory limits, teleport limits and the general limits of the game. You both will spend generally the same amount of time, just focusing on different things. Ethical? Do you even know what that word means? I posit you do not. It would be unethical to sell EXP gain potions / buffs (look at how many MMOs do this). It would be unethical to sell items that allow you to do increased damage, or increase drop rates or anything like that. Stash tabs are a convenience. Period. Yeah, it means you can store more, but that's it. You still can't get more out of endgame maps because of the teleport limit. You can't kill mobs faster. You can't even get more items, since you still can only carry as much as your character can carry. Technically there might be a small advantage in races, but you are still using time to manage whatever you are storing. The person with 24 tabs is still sifting through the tabs in the end (of frantically picking up everything and storing it), getting things to sell to other players, selling junk to merchants etc.. The person with the default tabs, has been chugging along all this time, selling and doing the exact same thing. They would both be even (generally). It still takes time regardless. While the person with a million tabs, is vendoring, selling and organizing, The person with the default tabs is leveling (the point of the race). Stash tabs don't matter. If you have 20 characters, you will fill up the tabs faster....Sorry, you just will. That's where leagues come in. Yeah you can't trade between leagues, but that's the way the game works. |
