Why do people continue to say cash-shop is "cosmetic only"?

I intentionally searched for a thread about the stash tab microtransaction. It's a crooked and veiled P2W feature and should be removed without any doubt. Here is why:
1) Recipes -> more tabs to store rares and vendor -> higher revenue -> better gear -> game advantage 2) Shops -> more items to offer on forum shops -> higher revenue (chance) -> better gear -> game advantage 3) Time -> no muling required, better / faster item organization -> more time to grind -> higher revenue -> better gear -> game advantage Here is a recent quote from Kripp: "I have to get more stash tabs". And he already has a shitload of them. Why doesn't he say "I have to get more cosmetic effects"? See my above points! GGG has found a way to squeeze money out people without them noticing it (as many responses on this thread prove). I hope they spend it wisely: on strippers, stocks, real-estates and a firm health care. Cheers. |

Although that is technically an advantage time-wise, it isn't big enough to warrant "P2W" because Pay 2 Win means paying money... so you win. Having a very slight advantage =/= "winning". I have 22 stash tabs. I haven't filled them all *yet*. I've still yet to get past Act 2 Cruel. I'm not winning. I paid money. This "P2W" mechanic obviously isn't working. |

I can understand the mixed feelings about this. 4 Tabs are a joke, really. I bought another 6, which is not that much but ok. (and I think 16 euro for a good game is fair)
So you CAN use mules, right... 1) One Account, many Chars: you gain only the inventory of these chars and have to keep free space in your stash, so you can log out, log in, put Item in stash, log out, log in, take item. Or if you want to compare several items, repeat to stash the remaining. (Keep loading times in mind) 2) Second Account: More space because of a second stash. BUT you have to run the game client twice (to trade), which is quite a demanding task for your hardware. A lot of people play without nice graphics or get crashes because lacking memory and I bet that *my* laptop couldn't handle two instances of PoE at once. Although it might work technically, both are not really an option for me. Dynamit,

" As you mentioned, buying a few extra tabs makes life much easier (it's not going to make anyone win though). If anyone enjoyed the game to the point of needing more tabs, I feel one should spend $20 which will get you 6 tabs to support the game. Lets be realistic, no video games are free, it takes money to make them, and run them if it's online. I'm not saying we should force everyone to spend lots of money on video games, but I just hope we can all be reasonable. Tabs is not going to give you a direct advantage, and this is the best we can ask for a microtransaction game. If that's too much for some people, then fine, they should go play some subscription base game or buy something else on Steam. |

there is nothing P2W in all this , sure its annoying if u spend a lot of time in the game as u acquire a lot of wealth over time but hell yea why not spend 20 dollars for a game u play so much?There are other options too but they take u a bit of time .It isnt hard at all to cr8 another account and use it as mule .Anyone with a decent pc can basicaly utilize 8 stash tabs at the same time , cant run 2 clients in the same time for too much time? Just 5 minutes and u will be able to trade everything u want , u even have 24 characters ... Make dem mules :P
4 stash tabs are pretty good , do u remember D2 ? Anyway i would never say no to some extra stash tabs :3 Game? Who needs to play the game? Forums are funny enough
