What is "Self Found" exactly?
" I am in the same boat as you, that is, I play solo and self-found only. I on the other hand am in a very good position item wise.

This is ofcourse just a part of what I have gathered since I started playing in february. I know I don't have godlike endgame items, but for a solo self-found player it suffices. So how did I accumilate all this? Well the key is my first character, my level 80 Summoner witch (IIQ 80/IIR 310). Summoners are one of the best, if not the best, solo characters. I can afford to do maps up to lvl 75ish with 2 Andvarious equipped. Thats a huge boost to IIR. Also my minion gems are all connected to IIQ and IIR support gems. IIQ, IIR and build is key to solo/self-found (and luck ofcourse). 3.3 RF Trickster SSF HC guide : https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2147256 Last edited by Rusherboy#5889 on Dec 6, 2013, 5:29:01 AM

Why some of you guys so keen on poking holes in SF definition?

" Thank you, Captain Obvious. | |
" Having played solo/self found in various HC leagues in various stages of the game and having a tendency to stack MF, I can confirm this. So here's the thing, in Nemesis, IIQ support doesn't exist, IIQ affix doesn't exist (other than on uniques). You're supposed to not die, but you also have to deal with Nemesis mods and Rogue Exiles, you can't really skimp on defenses, not even situationally. Now the thing is, even managing to be able to use EVERY IIQ unique on a 2h build, the rewards pretty much suck now, apart from having zero flexibility. The MF situation in Nemesis for instance, is absolutely terrible compared to the last time I played in HC. You are, relatively, screwed over in a number of ways. I guess if you had no MF it's a bit better (I can't tell), but for someone who typically stacks MF, it's pretty terrible. Though I guess you're still okay if you only give a shit about IIR (which I don't). |
