It seems to me that we expect too much from indie game maker. I guess this is best they can come up with. We can either suck it up or leave.

Explain to me what the point of it is? Why would I even waste 10 exalts into doing maps in the first place? Its not like they produce much of anything. Its not like the EXP gained is worth the currency investment. Now that things have changed, you are probably better off in the long run just doing Piety or Dominus non-stop with Magic Find on, or Catacombs in full MF gear. XP is probably close, your currency will grow instead of shrink.

I know bigger items drop, but what are the chances? Its not like you are probably wearing any MF, and either have to drag a MF culler along, or just go through it man-mode with GG gear and find jack shit.

maps do not drop shit for loot. my friend got a soul taker from doing a piety mf run. i have never sold anything i personally found for 45 exalts, not even close and i have been mapping for a very long time.

its not sad, after a certain point, the only measure of progress is exp. what do you do when your gear is as good as you need it to be? grind more piety? the goal of the game is to advance both gear and level. mf runs are good for the former and maps, the latter.

The map system is a superb currency sink that keeps the value of chaos stable and functional rather than the game degenerating into an exalt as gold state. The map rng is not perfect but it is in a better place than it has EVER been. You chances to maintain x level maps has essentially been doubled with this latest patch.

I just wish there was more stuff to do end game. Maps are fine and all, but there seriously needs to be more to do besides dump currency into the map money pit. Some daily challenges and/or additional play modes, stuff like that. Maps are getting really boring.

you would be content to farm piety for orbs for the rest of your career and remain under 84. maybe spend 40 exalts on ring with 60 iir and some quantity while your at it so you can mf even harder.

GGG could create a league where they just give you each hour 50 maps so we can see threads that complain that we have to many maps.

Serious things have to be rare. Thats how you create desire and its buffed already as mentioned. Dont turn this into a garbage casual game where everybody can get everything without investing in it.

There are companys out that do this already. Maybe considering purchasing a product by:

EA, ActivisionBLizzard, Ubisoft, Sony, WarnerBrothers and so on.

Farming maps for maps and a little bit exp or farming Piety for orbs is equally boring.

Keep your arguments on topic, and not resort to ad hominem or things like telling people to "stop whining" multiple times, and maybe your REAL argument can be discussed and not be dismissed. It wasn't me that cheapened your entire post in the first couple sentences; it was you.

Why do you think you would be stuck under 84? The current XP changes makes leveling outside of maps a decent prospect. Now, that could be a good thing or bad thing; its all perception. I'm pretty sure you could grind Piety or Catacombs and level just fine, and not throw all your currency away trying to find more maps.

These games really have no purpose; even in d2 you farmed for better MF gear, to gear a guy already MFing; you do the same thing here. You might have farmed for pvp as an alternative. Most people just kept grinding Baal runs for literally no real reason at all; they could already kill him. If you look at it from the outside, none of it has any meaning. You really think gaining a little more XP has any more purpose than MF slightly better gear? They are both pointless in the end.
